before they had to perform their final oral presentations for our department
HOD:

I will be placing the final Components to the Oral Presentation Plan (which must be typed and
printed BEFORE your actual scheduled oral presentation on Monday!) in this message. Please make
sure that you have ALL PARTS completed asap so you can spend the time deciding what Genre
(Poetry, Prose or Drama) you will choose for ;your ORIGINAL CREATIVE PIECE (no plagiarism):

- 5 mins long
- Standard English
- One Index Card Allowed

Components of Plan and Actual Oral Presentation

- Greetings/Identification (Name of Creative Piece)

Please ask me any questions in the Classroom or on the Whatsapp groups if any help/critique is
needed before Monday.

N.B. Please turn in your Academic Portfolios for the SBA ASAP as I will have to make a list of all
delinquent students at this point for Administration tomorrow.

Some reminders for tomorrow’s Oral Presentations.

NO INTERVIEWS CAN BE USED FOR A SOURCE/ MATERIAL in your SBAs. Unfortunately, no audio,
textual or visual interviews are allowed in either rhe Academic Portfolios or Oral Presentations so
please move accordingly with your work.

Make sure you have a TYPED plan prepared for tomorrow that outlines your oral presentation. Each
part should be one-two sentences each at most The outline is in this thread in an earlier post, the only
part missing is what is underneath this paragraph

ADD THIS TO YOUR TYPED PLAN/ORAL PRESENTATION: Remember to state/type what

GENRE(Poetry, Prose, Drama), you decided to use for your creative piece and WHY you chose the
format( song, poem, speech, skit etc) for your creative expression.

State the DATE and PUBLISHER/WRITER of ALL your material/sources during your presentations and
in your typed plans.

Give yourself at least one-two minutes for your creative presentation and keep the other spoken parts
before to two minutes in all. Practice your timing! Your creative piece MUST BE MEMORIZED.
Make sure you have an INDEX CARD for the PARTS of your TYPED PLAN in POINT FORM in case you
need one to glance at (not stare at!) during your oral presentation. NO ELECTRONIC/DIGITAL DEVICES
CAN BE USED for your points.

Devices can only be used if you are using music for your creative presentations.

Message me on WhatsApp if you need to send me a copy of your written plans and creative pieces for
some critique.
