It is very likely that you think that erotic photos are not for you or that to
take them you need to go to a studio or have a professional camera. Well,
first of all you should know that none of that is necessary. In this guide
you will find tricks that are as affordable as they are effective, but
remember: a good attitude is essential.
Taking erotic photos is not just that. It's another way to have fun and
raise self-esteem and excitement to another level. Be aware that if you
decide to share them with your partner, not only will their eyes pop out of
their sockets, they will never forget them!

Chapter 1
Lightning
Contrary to what you may think, the most advisable and also the most
affordable option is to use natural light. No spotlights that blind you. Take
advantage of the fact that it's summer and there are many more hours of
daylight. Specifically, if you can, set aside an afternoon to do it, since that
evening light will create a very warm (important) and beautiful
atmosphere. If you don't have natural light or you simply don't like it, you can
use lamps you have at home, for example flexible lamps (like the one from
Pixar). With them it will be easier for you to direct the light where you want.
42 Lighting >5
Erotic Photography Guide | By Jasmine Ducca
It is best not to let the light hit you too directly, because it can create
shadows that are too harsh or make it impossible for you to open your eyes.
Whether natural or artificial, if you can't avoid being hit directly by the light,
put something in front of the light (like a white cloth or curtain) that lets the
light through, but makes it reach you more softly. And if you still can't do
anything about it, don't fight it, join in with the I Spy mask or simply get this
top-selling lingerie set.

Something you may never have considered is that it is best for the light to
come from both sides or slightly in front of you, rather than from above
or below. And if it comes in these directions, the shadows created are not
usually very pleasant.
Although since these are erotic photos, you can also play with darker
environments.

When we think of erotic photography, reddish lighting may come to mind, but
in reality, red cellophane may not be the best option. Red light tends to
saturate the image a lot (especially if you use a mobile camera). This
causes definition in forms and information to be lost.
If you want to use red light, it is better for the light source not to be aimed
directly at you, but at a wall next to you or in front of you, so that the light
bounces around and is less intense.

Other color options you can use are orange, yellow, pink, green, or purple.
The blue color looks good if you use
professional gelatins, but if you are
going to use cellophane, it is better to
avoid this color.

Chapter 2
Poses
If you are not used to it, posing can be very complicated and somewhat
frustrating, because it requires practice. The most important thing is to relax
and be yourself. But, in addition, you can take into account the following
recommendations:
There are people who find it much more comfortable to pose sitting, either in
bed or in a chair, because when standing they feel like they don't really
know what to do with their body.
42 Poses > 11
Erotic Photography Guide | By Jasmine Ducca
Leaning in one place allows you to play more with your posture, create
different curves and, of course, be more comfortable. Lean on the back of
the chair, play with the sheets or pillows... Let your imagination run wild!
1 Try to keep your chin slightly raised, as if you were looking straight
Tips! ahead. This will slim your neck and prevent unwanted shadows from forming on your
face.
2 Keep in mind your “good side”: It is no secret that our face is slightly asymmetrical, so
pay attention to your nose as there is probably a side of your face where small
deviations of the nose are less noticeable.
3 If you want to stylize your face a little more, stick your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
This will slim your neck and jowls, making your face look straighter.
4 If you don't know what to do with your arms, there are two key positions: either on your
hips, which flatters your figure, or raised, which will slightly elevate your breasts.
Also, you can get inspiration from photos you like or even put a mirror behind
your camera to better control your poses. If you have a good front camera,
you can use it, as it is always more comfortable to see yourself while
taking photos.

And if you still can't get an erotic tone, the best thing is to get accessories
that speak for themselves and activate the imagination just by looking at
them, like this butterfly mask, which will give you an enigmatic and erotic
touch.

Face Tips
1 Bring your chin forward and lower your face (works great for frontal photos).
Tips! 2 Relax your lips and open them slightly.
3 Squint your eyes a little and look straight into the camera.
4 Move your face: Just like when you talk to someone you don't keep your head still (it
makes you look a little weird), don't do it in front of the camera either.
5 Find the part of your face that you like most (eyes, smile, nose...). If you have more
than one, make the most of them!
Personality is essential. Your look, your smile and your body are unique, but
give an even more personal touch to your erotic photo book by doing
what you like best: reading, cooking, dancing, bathing, playing the piano...
In short, create a message and do something unexpected.

3 Analyze how you felt: your emotions, your thoughts, your body's reactions... You can help
yourself by writing down what you have felt in a journal. How did you feel at the beginning?
Did you feel like covering yourself with your hands? Writing is a good way to describe,
deepen and organize our thoughts. It may even be helpful to come back to them later and
see what has changed and how.
4 Write a letter to that part of your body that you don't like/didn't like. What do you think of
her? You can start like this: “Dear nose, I am writing to you because our relationship
has never been very good...”

You can also do this idea when you are having a good time with your
partner. Instead of doing something more typical, like a video, you can take
photos with analog cameras and then have fun seeing what you get.

Especially with a mobile phone, if you tilt the camera to one side or the
other, the perspective will change and with it, the shape of your body.
The best thing you can do is make sure the camera is parallel to your
body and at the height of your abdomen.

Edition
It's important to get rid of the idea that a photo has to be highly edited
to look good. It's all a matter of taste! But we will give you some practical
tips from photographer Jazmín Ducca (@jazducca) so that your photos are
10/10: the same photo, one original, and two ways to edit it.
42 Edition > 22
Erotic Photography Guide | By Jasmine Ducca
A mistake that almost everyone makes is using filters that change the entire
photo and in which everything is already preset. It is best for you to play with
the different variables in each photo yourself, instead of applying a general
filter to all of them, since what works for one photo may not work for another.
Also, the filters that apps come with are often limited, so it's always best to
take the plunge and experiment with editing!
42 Edition > 23
Erotic Photography Guide | By Jasmine Ducca
What do you need to take into account when changing variables like
contrast or exposure? Don't overdo it. It sounds a bit silly, but there is no
mystery to it. To “improve” the photo we have only lowered the exposure a
little, raised the temperature a little to have a warmer tone and we have given
it some saturation, that is, we have increased the intensity of the color. Little
more. If, for example, the app allows you to increase the contrast up to 100,
it is recommended not to exceed 15. This obviously depends on the photo,
but the important thing is to understand that it is not necessary to “move” all
the tools we have a lot to make the photo change and be more beautiful.
The key is to play, but without going overboard. Slight changes, believe it
or not, are noticeable. To edit these photos we used PicsArt, a free tool that
has practically EVERYTHING (in case you want to get carried away editing).
Other apps like Snapseed, VSCO, Afterlight (free) or Lightroom (one
month free demo) are also super easy to use.
