5. CONTROL POPUPS
Controls from the HMI Client are performed using two modes:
Select Before Operate (SBO)
Direct Execute (DE)
A particular popup, based on the control mode, is used to perform controls from HMI Client.
5.1.1 SBO control popup
In this mode, the control phase, at the HMI Client point of view, is composed with two steps:
The graphic selection phase (mouse click on the controllable device)
The SBO phase itself.
The control popup layout is as followed:
Popups appear as soon as the operator performs a graphic selection.
They are available only in detailed electrical views.
This control mode is used to perform commands on circuit breakers and switches.
The system checks for the following conditions before allowing the next level of control. The basic
checks are:
a. The operator should have valid access permissions
b. The BCU should be on Remote Mode.
c. The Bay should be on Substation Mode.
If any one of the conditions are not met, error message is displayed on the bottom of the pop up.
SCMS HMI APPLICATION PICTURES AND SIGNAL NAMING CONVENTION Page 135 of
142
If the above conditions are met, the user can choose the command he wants by clicking on it (close for
example).
Then the chosen command is highlighted and the Select button appears as available:
SCMS HMI APPLICATION PICTURES AND SIGNAL NAMING CONVENTION Page 136 of
