COMMERCIAL PILOT COURSE
OVERVIEW
(Indian Students)
Our Pilot Program is designed exclusively for Indian students, fulfilling the criteria for both FAA and
DGCA Commercial Pilot Licenses. This allows graduates to seamlessly convert their FAA license to
an Indian DGCA Commercial Pilot License, paving the way for a smooth transition to flying
professionally in India.

Duration:
• Duration: 12 months
• Minimum Completion Time: 7 months
• Maximum Completion Time: 24 months
• Average Completion Time: 9 to 10 months
Please note:
This self-paced course's duration varies based on individual factors like aptitude, attendance, and
weather. Students enrolled in this course receive an initial I-20 valid for 12 months. Those
surpassing the 12-month timeframe will be required to extend their I-20, and any associated
extension fees will be the responsibility of the student.

Getting Started with Your Course:
Upon your arrival at our school in the US, your orientation will be conducted, and all necessary
paperwork, including your TSA/AFSP application, Your FAA Medical examination application will be
completed, and your appointment will be scheduled. Additionally, your first flight experience at our
school will be scheduled as a discovery flight with an instructor.

*Any variation, changes or alteration to any course structure will result in a course price change. Any changes to course structure will result in ground and
flight instruction given being charged at $90/hr. Designated Pilot Examiners availability may result in delay of check-rides. Our flight school does not have
any control over examiner availability. *Cost of additional flying necessary to remain current after course completion and sign off is not included in this
course and will incur additional charges.
* Ground instruction includes, unlimited scheduled group ground school and limited one on one ground instruction with your instructor. This limited ground
instruction includes 25 hours/PPL& IRA each, 10 hours/CPL SE & ME each, totaling 70 hours of one on one ground instruction. Additional one on one
ground instruction will be charged at current rates.
The flight hours listed in this brochure reflect the minimum required by the syllabus and regulations. Actual dual and solo flight time may vary based on
student aptitude, proficiency, and effort. Additional hours, if necessary, will be charged at current rates. Flight training may also be delayed due to ATC
directives, weather, or other factors, and any associated costs will be the student’s responsibility. Avel Flight School is not liable for expenses incurred due
to such delays.
*Course pricing does not include aircraft dispatcher course fees. This can be added onto base course fees for an additional cost.
This is a self-paced course and the duration may vary based on individual student aptitude, attendance, weather and related factor.
International students who procrastinate and delay training completion will not be allowed to extend their I-20 after 12 months. The option to extend I-20
beyond 12 months is only available to students who have completed a minimum of the following:
Private Pilot Certificate
Instrument Rating Ground School and FAA Knowledge Exam
Commercial Pilot Ground School and FAA Knowledge Exam
Maximum time to complete this course is 24 months. If a student is unable to complete this course within this period due to lack of attendance, effort,
aptitude, or due to procrastination, this non-refundable course will automatically terminate in 24 months. Any credit available on student account balance
beyond this time will be forfeited.
The discounted course price is valid for twelve months from the date of course commencement. Portions of this course not completed within this time will
not be covered by this discount. Any changes made to this course will result in the course price going back to a non-discounted course price. Discount is
based on payment options selected.

First Installment: Tuition fee should be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival in USA after receiving your visa.
Second Installment: Tuition fee should be paid after Private License is achieved or upon completion of 60 hours of
flight training which includes simulator training, whichever comes first.
Third Installment: Tuition fee should be paid after Instrument License is achieved or upon completion of 100 hours of
flight training which includes simulator training, whichever comes first.
Fourth Installment: Tuition fee should be paid, upon completion of 150 hours of flight training which includes
simulator training.
Option 5: Fifth Installments:
First Installment: Tuition fee should be paid 2 weeks prior to arrival in USA after receiving your visa.
Second Installment: Tuition fee should be paid upon completion of 50 hours of flight training which includes simulator
training.
Third Installment: Tuition fee should be paid upon completion of 80 hours of flight training which includes simulator
training.
Fourth Installment: Tuition fee should be paid, upon completion of 120 hours of flight training which includes
simulator training.
Fifth Installment: Tuition fee should be paid, upon completion of 150 hours of flight training which includes simulator
training.
If you have chosen to add the Aircraft Dispatcher Program to the base course, the additional fees that will be added to your first
payment are $5,895.00 - $2,000.00 onetime discount + $900.00 examiner fees = $4,795.00

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE
Admission Requirements:
To enroll in our training program, you need to meet the following prerequisites:
1. To begin flight training, you must be at least 17 years of age.
2. To take the oral and practical test for the Commercial Pilot Course, you must be at least 18
years of age.
3. You must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently.
4. You should obtain at least a First-class medical certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner.
Meeting these prerequisites is a critical step to ensure
your eligibility for our training program.
Admission Procedure:
Our admission procedure is straightforward and
ensures that you are well-prepared for your pilot
training journey.
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Obtain a Class I Medical Certificate.
Your first step toward obtaining your pilot license
is to pass a Class I medical certificate examination
conducted by an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE
Step 2: Enrollment Fee Payment: Upon receiving your medical certificate, you can proceed to
make your enrollment fee payment of $750.00. Instructions on how to make your payment is on
page 7.
Step 3: Document Submission: Once your enrollment fee payment is completed, we will need
the following documents scanned together in a single email to [email protected].
1. A completed Application Form (page 9)
2. Completed Start Date Form (page 10)
3. A receipt of the wire transfer for the enrollment fee payment (provided by your bank upon
completing the transaction).
4. Proof of Citizenship: Photograph of your current passport (valid for at least 12 months from
the date of enrollment)
5. Proof of legal residence, Utility bill / bank statement / legal ID with home address / housing
lease.
This documentation is crucial to fulfil Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
requirements.

Following these steps ensures a smooth admission
process, and you'll be well on your way to starting
your pilot training.
Admission Confirmation:
After receiving and verifying your documents and
confirming payment, we swiftly complete admission
formalities including issuing the I-20 and Letter of Admission required for your M1 student visa
approval. A soft copy of these documents will be emailed to you. After we receive your
confirmation, verifying the accuracy of the draft soft copy details, the original soft copy will be
emailed to you.
COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE
Tuition Fees Payable:
You will only be required to pay the tuition fees once you have obtained your visa.
Payment Procedure After Receiving Your Visa:
Upon making your payment, please send us the following information in a single email at least
2 weeks before your arrival in the US:
1.Wire transfer receipt of Tuition fees (provided by your bank upon completing the transaction)
2. Flight Details
3. Copy of Visa
Failure to provide this information in the specified format at least 2 weeks before your arrival in
the US will result in the cancellation of your I-20.
Following this, you'll promptly be scheduled with an instructor, and your ground school and
flight lessons will commence immediately after TSA formalities. Non-citizens require Flight
Training Security Program (FTSP) approval to initiate flight training.
Accommodation: All accommodations and transportation expenses are your responsibility
for the entire duration of your stay in the U.S. We will provide you with a list of recommended
places to stay in the arrival formalities attachment. This attachment will be sent to you in a
separate email after you have received your visa and sent us a copy. Please note that ac-
commodations are subject to availability.
