1. PROJECT SUMMARY (0-5 Points)
It is expected to briefly explain the purpose of the project, the problems and solutions
identified, if any.
2. TEAM CHART TASK DISTRIBUTION (0-5 Points)
It is expected to indicate the distribution of tasks visually (table/chart) and provide
information about the team organization.
3. EXPLANATION OF THE PROJECT IDEA
1.1. Solution Problem/Need (0-20 Points):
The part where the project idea is explained.
Indicate which problem of the culture and tourism sector your project idea
solves and which need it meets.
Explain your proposed solution to this problem.
State the applicable and realizable aspects of the problem and solution you
have found.
1.2. Innovation and Originality Side (0-10 Points):
What are the innovative and original aspects of your solution to the
problem/need in your project?
What are the elements that reveal the national and local features of your
project?
Please indicate whether you have applied to competitions with a similar/similar
project before and include detailed changes. If the similarity is more than
inspiration and/or continuation, the work will not be accepted as original.
In the field of culture and tourism; Applications for applications consisting of
domestic or foreign, well-known applications with a wide user base,
customized for a certain region / sector and / or with small details added will
not be evaluated.

Applications for applications consisting of the combination of more than one
existing application will not be evaluated.
1.3. Target Audience of the Project Idea (0-5 Points):
You are expected to indicate for which target audience your project will be used.
Which segments of the society does the target audience of your project cover, which
age groups does it address?
1.4. Competitive Analysis / Commercial Potential (0-10
Points):
You are expected to explain the commercial potential of your project in the relevant
market based on concrete data and present a competitive analysis showing how you
differ from your existing competitors.
4. METHODS TO BE USED (0-5 Points):
In this section, you should mention the methods that you will apply in terms of
software to complete your project. How did you decide that the method you will apply
is the most effective and efficient method for your problem? You are expected to
mention all the steps you will take to realize your project.
1.5. Algorithms Planned to be Used (0-5 Points):
You are expected to talk about the presentation and flow of the algorithms you plan
to use in the implementation of your project idea.
1.6. Software Architecture Planned to be Used (0-10
Points):
Indicate the software architecture and technologies you plan to use in the
implementation of your project idea. Projects prepared with block (visual) based
coding will not be accepted.
1.7. Electronic Device Preliminary Design Process (if
any) (0-10 Points):

If there is no electronic device in your project, heading 4.2 will be evaluated out of 20
points.
If there is, the electronic design processes of the device used should be mentioned.
Visuals of the preliminary design are included. Information about the subcomponents
(sensors, cameras, cables, motherboard) planned to be used is given.
1.8. Education Materials (0-5 Points):
What are the education materials etc. that you plan to prepare for the use, promotion
and dissemination of the project? Do you actively use the communication channels
required for training?
5. PROJECT CALENDAR (0-5 Points):
In this section, you are asked to plan the work you will do related to your project and
its planning according to time (project calendar). You should indicate your project
schedule as a diagram/table.
6. REFERENCES: (0-5 Points):
The bibliography section will be evaluated together with the form layout.
The form should include the references section.
In the References heading, detailed information about all the sources you used to do
your project should be given. (Website address, Book Name, Page Number, etc.)

NOTE ON REPORT TEMPLATES:

The Preliminary Evaluation Report will be at least 4 and at most 6 pages,
including the Cover, Table of Contents, References and Appendices (if
any).
All reports must be written in accordance with academic report standards.
Each report should contain 2 separate pages for “Cover, Table of
Contents” headings.
Font type: Arial, Punto: 12, Title Font: Arial Black, Title Punto: 14, Line
Spacing: 1.15, Justified, Page margins: top 2.8, bottom-right-left 2.5.
The sentences in the report should not be identical and repetitive.
There is no promotional video at this stage.
Teams that have made use of the previous year's reports on our website in
their report must indicate the quotation on the relevant page. You must
provide the explanation after the quoted sentence.
CITATION FORMAT: “Quoted Sentence(s)” (Year, Competition Name,
Category, Team Name)
EXAMPLE EXCERPT: “The inability to determine the location of the earthquake
victim in the rubble is the most important problem that slows down the debris
removal and search for earthquake victims.” (2020, Technology for the Benefit of
Humanity Competition, Disaster Management, Team X)
References in the bibliography can be indicated as follows.
Digital Source: Authors' Surname, Initials, Title of the Article, Date of the
Article, Date of Access, Access Address.
Printed Source: Surname of the Authors, Initials of the Authors, (Date of
Publication) Title of the Article, (If available) Name of the Journal in which it was
published, (If available) Number of the Journal, Page number.
Preliminary Evaluation Reports that do not comply with the form template will
not be evaluated.
