Aanya-Greetings of this exuberant morning! I, Aanya Kuchhal.

Aarna-And I, Aarna Dave

Aanya- We would like to extend our cordial welcome to our
respected Director principal sir, Mr. John Rafi and our
esteemed Headmistress ma’am and all my dear teachers and
fellow mates to this pleasant day. We the students of class 8-B
are here to talk about a very important topic. Aarna would you
like to share it with our audience?
Aarna- The topic for the day is ‘Say no to single use of plastic’
Today’s assembly will leave you enriched and would convey a
big message for the world!
Aanya- So now to start this beautiful day let’s seek lord’s
blessing by calling upon Aarav Srivastava for the Lord ’s Prayer.
Aarna- Thank you Aarav, now let’s brighten our day by the
thought and word of the day. May I now call upon, Sarim for
the word of the day and Utkarsh for the thought of the day.
Sarim – Good morning everyone, I am Sarim and the word of
the day is MALIGNANT which means very harmful or infectious.
I repeat, the word of the day is MALIGNANT which means very
harmful or infectious.
Utkarsh - Good morning everyone, my name is Utkarsh and the
thought of the day is BE THE PART OF THE SOLUTION NOT
PART OF THE POLLUTION I repeat BE THE PART OF THE
SOLUTION NOT PART OF THE POLLUTION.
Aanya- Thank you Utkarsh and Sarim..How about we learn
about the current affairs of around the world now Aarna?
Aarna-Yes Aanya, So now let’s call upon Parth Joshi, Aarav
Raina, Sylph Wani and Yash Gosh.
Aanya- Thank you all the news really connected us up to the
recent world.
Aarna-We would like to share the harmful effects of plastic and
spread more awareness of how plastic is destroying the world.
Let’s call Agastaya Suri, Asmi Alavadi, Chinmayi Arya, and
Serafine Joshi.
Aanya- Thank you so much! I hope it enlightens your thoughts
towards the safety of the world. Dance expresses our emotions
with actions and rhythmic movements so let’s call upon the
dancers of 8-B with a huge round of applause.
DANCE
Aanya- What a lovely performance the dancers have shown..
Hope you enjoyed it! I would like to call my friend Yuvaan who
will through some light on the topic.
Yuvaan - Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about India's
move in this direction from the ramparts of the Red Fort on
January 26, 2019. Thereafter, in a notification that was issued
on August 21, 2021 the government prohibits the manufacture,
import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of all identified
single-use plastic, having low utility and high littering potential
with effort from July 1, 2022.
Aarna-We are going to present something which will excite you
and will inspire your young minds!
NUKKAD NATAK (SURPRISE)
Aarna- Wow..that was surely an informative and graceful
performance!
Aanya- As you saw how we face problems due to plastic. So
let’s now know some ways to prevent this. For this we would
call Tanishk, Yashica, Manya, Adhiraj and Anvesh who will give
us some ideas on our problems.
Yashica - We should prefer paper bags rather than polythene
bags because they are biodegradable. It means paper bags can
be decomposed in soil with the help of bacteria. It is different
from plastic bags that can take thousands of years to
decompose .Paper bags are 100% recyclable because they don't
contain toxic and poisonous gases that plastic bags emit during
recycling.
Anvesh - Plastic is one of the most harmful things in the whole
world. Not only for human beings, but it is also harmful to
animals as well. Animals and marine creatures unknowingly
consume plastic particles along with their food. Research shows
that waste plastic bags have been a major reason for animal
deaths.
Aarna-Those were truly some interesting ideas and ways to
prevent plastic usage.
Aanya- So as we are almost coming to the end of this assembly
let’s end it with some fascinating quotes which will motivate
you to keep the world plastic free
Aarna-So my fellow mates Parnika, Reaiah, Devishee and
Dhruv will take the lead by telling us some motivational quotes
now..
Reaiah - You cannot get through a single day without having an
impact on the world around you. What you do makes a
difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you
want to make.
Parnika -
Aanya-Thank you my friends..I would like to pay my ingenuous
gratitude to our Director Principal sir, Mr. John Rafi for his
endless encouragement and our headmistress Ms. Geeta
Kanwar to be the driving force of our lives. Thank you for giving
us this opportunity to present ourselves on this platform today!
Pavni- So let's now call upon our prestigious principal sir Mr
John Rafi to share his inspiring thoughts with us!

ma'am Ms. Geeta Kanwar to share her views!
