THE SEASONS In the winter it is as cold as ice, Christmas should come not once but twice. Springtime is a lot of fun, But summertime will bring lots of sun. Fall is fun for raking leaves,

But now that means winter again, oh please! Alyssa

Weather Weather is a funny thing. Its often rainy in the Spring. Summer, hot and very sunny. Flowers bloom and bees make honey. In Autumn the leaves are falling down. Kids jump in piles on the ground. Winter has a lot of snow. So, hop on a sleigh, come-on, lets go! Denise

Winter Time Late lies the wintry sun a bed a frosty, fiery sleepy head. Blinks but an hour or two and then, a blood red orange, sets again. Before the stars have left the skies, At morning in the dark I rise. Close by the jolly fire I sit. To warm my frozen bones a bit Maria

My Weather Poem

In winter peoples clothes are heavy because the weather stays steady. In summer its not a bummer because you get to play sports that dont give you warts. In spring it always gets better all you need is a little sweater. In fall the weather is hazy and people wear clothes a a little crazy. James

Weather Weather, weather in the air, Often so cold it tickles our hair. Sometimes its cold and sometimes its hot. Sometimes its breezy and sometimes its not. Puddles, puddles on the ground, Come from rain clouds circling round. In the winter snow will fall, But in some places not at all. Summer time were off from school, Because its so hot we go in the pool. In spring it rains and the flowers bloom. It often thunders which makes a big boom. Fall is when the leaves change color and drop, To pick pick them up use a rake not a mop. Weather weather in the air, Its unpredictable and can give you a scare. Jordan

Weather Weather, Weather you get me in a dither. Will it rain? Will it snow? Will it sleet? Will it blow? Will it be cold, or will it be hot? What should I wear, shorts and a top? Pants? A T-shirt? A sweater? What shoes? Sneakers? Boots? Sandals? Weather, when will I get you? Shane

Coasting Down the Hill

Frosty is the morning; But the sun is bright, Flooding all the landscape With its golden light. Hark the sounds of laughter And the voices shrill! See the happy children Coasting down the hill. There are Tom and Charley, And their sister Nell; There are John and Willie, Kate and Isabel Eyes with pleasure beaming, Cheeks with health aglow; Bless the merry children, Trudging through the snow! Now I hear them shouting, "Ready! Clear the track!" Down the slope they're rushing, Now they're trotting back. Full of fun and frolic, Thus they come and go.

Coasting down the hillside, Trudging through the snow.

Winter
A cracked lip; raw skin. I pined for orange flickers Dancing off a cheery fire. A gelid blast of arctic air Had caught me unawares Reinforcing my desire. Turning down an avenue, I froze; suspicious trees Likely destined for a pyre Were laughing off the icy chill Of callous winter nights. And I? Simply to retire Snug, inside a balmy chair Of warming solitude: Ah! my carol, my festive choir.

Falling Snow by anonymous

See the pretty snowflakes Falling from the sky; On the wall and housetops Soft and thick they lie. On the window ledges, On the branches bare; Now how fast they gather, Filling all the air.

Look into the garden, Where the grass was green; Covered by the snowflakes, Not a blade is seen. Now the bare black bushes All look soft and white, Every twig is laden, What a pretty sight!

Jack Frost by Gabriel Setoun

The door was shut, as doors should be, Before you went to bed last night; Yet Jack Frost has got in, you see, And left your window silver white. He must have waited till you slept; And not a single word he spoke, But pencilled o'er the panes and crept Away again before you woke. And now you cannot see the hills Nor fields that stretch beyond the lane; But there are fairer things than these His fingers traced on every pane. Rocks and castles towering high; Hills and dales, and streams and fields; And knights in armor riding by, With nodding plumes and shining shields. And here are little boats, and there Big ships with sails spread to the breeze; And yonder, palm trees waving fair On islands set in silver seas, And butterflies with gauzy wings; And herds of cows and flocks of sheep;

And fruit and flowers and all the things You see when you are sound asleep. For, creeping softly underneath The door when all the lights are out, Jack Frost takes every breath you breathe, And knows the things you think about. He paints them on the window-pane In fairy lines with frozen steam; And when you wake you see again

A Riddle - On Snow James Parton

From Heaven I fall, though from earth I begin. No lady alive can show such a skin. I'm bright as an angel, and light as a feather, But heavy and dark, when you squeeze me together. Though candor and truth in my aspect I bear, Yet many poor creatures I help to insnare. Though so much of Heaven appears in my make, The foulest impressions I easily take. My parent and I produce one another, The mother the daughter, the daughter the mother.
