TRAINING TITLE: School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on: National


Reading Program, Catch-Up Fridays, Microsoft 365, NLC, HOTS-PLPs,
Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of the Comprehensive
Sexuality Education, and Child Rights Policy.

I. Training Rationale:

In an answer to the DepEd Memorandum – OUHRD – 2024 – 0037,


known as Policy Guidelines in the conduct of the In-Service Training for
Teachers (INSET), Nicasio M. Alvarez II Memorial National High School
(NAMNHS), have identified priority areas to be taken up during the conduct
of School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) on Jan. 24 -26 and 29 – 30, 2024.

Said training is aimed at resolving areas of need and continuously


improve teachers’ competencies in line with the DepEd’s continues pursuit of
excellence in providing quality, accessible, relevant, and liberating
education.

II. Objectives:
During the course of the training, each teacher participant is expected
to:

1. Enhance the teachers’ pedagogical knowledge, skills, and attitudes;


2. Provide inputs that will develop teachers’ ability in assessing the
learners in literacy and numeracy skills;
3. Equip teachers in their teaching – learning processes that will lead to
an improved learners’ performance; and
4. Appreciate the roles of teachers in molding the youth; and in nation –
building as a whole.
III. Training Content and Methodology:

Content

To facilitate understanding on the crucial role of teachers in the


development of the learners, the following topics will be discussed:

1. Catch – Up Fridays, orientation


2. National Reading Program
3. Orientation on Microsoft 365
4. National Learning Camp NLC
5. Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of the Comprehensive
Sexuality Education
6. Child Rights Policy – Adapting the right based Education Framework in
DepEd Order no. 31 s. 2022 DepEd Child Protection Policy D. O #20 s.
2012.

Methodology

This is a 4 – day training/INSET which will be participated by twenty-


two (22) personnel of Nicasio M. Alvarez II Memorial National High School
comprising the 8 different subject learning areas.

The conduct of said training is in lecture and workshop activities.


Teachers will be required to bring their laptops, learning modules and other
instructional devices/aids.

Moreover, the training requires basic knowledge on the use and


operation of basic computer software applications.

The secretariat will be responsible for the documentation, checking of


the daily attendance, safekeeping of outputs, and the evaluation after the
completion of the training.
Certificate of completion shall be given to the participants who will
have a complete attendance.

The training will be led by the School Head. All plans and/or decisions
will be approved by his office. In terms of financial aspect, it is the duty of
the Finance Officer to distribute the intended budget for every undertaking.
The Secretariat on the other hand will be in-charged in the recording and
safekeeping of outputs for purposes that may serve the group and the
concerned Institution. Consequently, the Program Facilitators will guide the
course of the program. They will moderate all activities that will transpire in
terms of the program transition, the introduction of the speakers and the
like.

To help attain the training objectives , the following resources are
