TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SAFARICOM SAMSUNG GALAXY S21 TRADE-IN OFFER
The following terms and conditions apply to the Safaricom Samsung S21 Trade-in Retail
Offer (the “Offer”): -
1. Eligibility
(a) This offer is open to all customers who wish to trade in their Samsung devices for
any Samsung Galaxy S21 devices from any recognised Safaricom Retail Shop as
per the table below.
(b) The participating trade-in devices are the older generation of Samsung S-series,
Samsung Note series and Samsung A80 (“Participating Trade-in Devices”) in clause
5 below and will also be published in the media, Safaricom Shops and Safaricom
Website (www.safaricom.co.ke).
(c) The list of Safaricom Retail Shops is available on the Safaricom website.
2. Offer period
(a) The Offer runs from 08:00hrs 25th May 2021 to 23:59 hrs on 30th June 2021 (‘Offer
Period”).
(b) The Offer is valid while stocks last and is limited to the first one hundred and fifty
(150) customers.
3. The Offer
(a) During the Offer Period, customers who trade in any of the Participating Devices
will enjoy discounted price options as listed in clause 6 below.
(b) The Samsung Galaxy S21 devices are sold to you subject always to the
Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty.
(c) The Samsung Galaxy S21/S21+/S21 Ultra models are dual sims.
4. How to participate
(a) A customer presents their older generation of Samsung S-series, Samsung Note
Series and Samsung A80 for the Trade-in promotion at a Safaricom Shop.
(b) The sales agent confirms the Trade-in (the old phone) is in working condition.
(c) Customers fill in and sign the Samsung’s Trade-in form at the retail shop.
(d) Customer factory resets their Trade-in phone to clear all personal data and hands
over their Trade-in phone to the sales agent.

(e) Customer buys their desired Samsung S21 model of choice at discounted price as
indicated in clause 6 below.
(f) The Trade-in phones are collected by Samsung from Safaricom stores.
(g) The limited Trade-in offer is based on first come first served basis as indicated in
clause 2(b) above.
(h) Accessories issued during this Offer once collected cannot be returned or
replaced.

7. Extension of Terms
(a) Save as modified above, these Terms and Conditions are supplemental to and
subject to the published Samsung Trade Terms and Conditions available on the
Samsung website.
(b) Safaricom reserves the right to amend or vary these terms and conditions or to
withdraw the Offer at any time. In any of these events, notice will be given via
media advertisements (including at Safaricom’s discretion on the Safaricom
website www.safaricom.co.ke) and will be effective immediately or as at the date
referred in such notifications.
