5 best tourist spot in Iligan City

Maria Cristina Fa s
Known for its natural
grandeur, the 321.5 feet
(98.0 meters) high
waterfall is also the
primary source of electric
power for the city's
industries, being
harnessed by the Agus VI
Hydroelectric Plant.
Tinago Fa s
Tinago's basin features a stunning
blue-green pool of water. The
colorful sheen of the water is more
than enough to inspire legends of
supernatural guardians that
protect this aquamarine refuge. In
spite of its mystic undertones,
Tinago has been developed by locals
to carry adventurers toward the
falls.
NPC Nature's Park
An eco-adventure facility was
made to boost the tourism
potential of Maria Cristinal Falls
and to enjoy nature at it's
grandest. It features a butterfly
garden, koi pond, crocodile farm,
mini zoo/ostrich area, a bat cave,
orchidarium, lagoon, cottages,
wishing well, viewing decks along
the banks of the Agus River,
souvenir shop, a cafeteria and
activities such as rock climbing
and zip line.
Mimbalot Fa s

Mimbalot Falls belongs to the city’s so-called

Tourism Triangle, along with the Tinago Falls
and Ma. Cristina Falls. A not so high ang
mighty falls with a drop of approximately 90
ft. high and is 18 ft. wide, but very alluring
with its natural water. This is a great spot
especially for nature lovers who like to enjoy
the untouched natural beauty. You can do
picnic at Mimbalot falls because they already
develop the place and put some tables besides
the waterfalls, Mimbalot is located at Brgy.
Buru-un.
Limunsudan Fa s

Limunsudan Falls, the second highest

waterfall in the Philippines. It is one of the
most powerful waterfalls I’ve seen, and
know of to exist in the country

— towering, and massive with a water drop

of 870 feet. This two tiered waterfall
gushing down massive volumes of water a
majestic,

only my opinion, ofcourse, as Ma. Cristina

Falls. Areas surrounding the falls have been
occupied by immigrants from
Kalamlamahan

of Barangay Rogongon of Iligan City since

1995, together with natives of the hegaonon
tribes from the nearby barangays or sitios.
