Introduction

3. Space Complexity
While time complexity focuses on how long an algorithm takes to run, space complexity
measures how much memory an algorithm requires. This is important when dealing with large
data sets or when working with systems that have limited memory.

• Fixed Space: Memory required that doesn't change with the size of the input (e.g.,
storing a few variables).
• Variable Space: Memory required that grows with the size of the input (e.g., dynamic
arrays, recursive call stacks).
