Dear participants Welcome to your Technical English IDI0130,

Course Description

This course is designed to enhance the technical English language skills of students in the field
of computer science. The syllabus focuses on improving reading, writing, speaking, and
listening abilities in a technical context. Students will engage with specialized vocabulary,
technical documentation, and industry-specific communication practices. The course will also
cover the comprehension and production of technical documents, including user manuals,
reports, and research papers.

Competences

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

Evaluation System:

I would like to provide you with a detailed explanation of the evaluation system that has been
established for this course. The system is based on a total of 100 points, and you must
understand how these points will be allocated throughout the course.

In this course, your overall grade will be calculated based on several factors.

● Attendance and active participation will be worth 10 points, which means that it is
important for you to attend all classes and actively participate in discussions and
activities.

● Classwork will be worth 60 points, and this includes assignments, quizzes, and any
other work that you do during class.

● Evaluations, which consist of the first partial, second partial, and final evaluation,
will be worth 30 points. These evaluations will assess your understanding and
application of the course material.
