ENGAGEMENT OF SENIOR RESIDENT UNDER RESIDENCY SCHEME (CLINICAL AND NON-CLINICAL ON
CONTRACTUAL BASIS FOR ESI-PGIMSR & MEDICAL COLLEGE AND ESIC HOSPITAL & ODC (EZ), JOKA
A walk-In interview will be held on 01.07.2024 & 02.07.2024 at ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College
and ESIC Hospital & ODC (EZ), Joka for immediate engagement and drawing up of panel, for future
engagement of Senior Residents in ESI-PGIMSR, & Medical College Joka in the following
departments/specialties.
Engagement of Senior Resident under Residency scheme (both Clinical and Non-Clinical) will initially
be for a period of one year and may be renewed/ extended on yearly basis for a total period of 3 years
including the initial one year, subject to satisfactory performance.
Further the panel may remain valid for a period of three months from date of publication of result
and may be cancelled / invalidated earlier without assigning any reason. Candidates who have completed
3 years tenure as senior resident in Govt. Institution need not apply. Senior Resident who is already
working in any Govt. Institution can apply through proper channel. The total period, however, should not
exceed the maximum period of three years.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

Note-3: The crucial date for determining the age limit, work experience and other criteria regarding eligibility
for the post shall be the date of walk-in Interview for the concerned department. Age relaxation application as
per Central Government rules in force.
2. Educational Qualifications:-

3. Pay and allowances:-

* In addition to the above cited consolidated remuneration, Senior Resident under Residency Scheme (Clinical
and Non-clinical) will be entitled for transport allowance with DA on transport allowance as per rules. DA on
transport allowance will be revised from time to time as per rules.
* As and when the orders for revision of rates of DA are issued by Govt of India and subsequently adapted by
ESIC Hqrs, the consolidated remuneration shall be revised as per rules mentioned in ESIC Headquarters OM No.
Z-17/11/1/2007/Med. IV (Pt. file) dated 13.04.2022.
* ESIC has adopted Consolidated Remuneration structure for Senior Resident as per ESIC Headquarters OM No.
Z-17/11/1/2007/Med. IV (Pt. file) dated 13.04.2022, and OM No. Z-11012/51/2022-MED-VI dated 08.12.2022.
4. Terms and conditions :-
a. The period of contract for the post of Senior Resident under Residency Scheme (both Clinical and
Non-clinical) will be initially for a period of one year extendable upto total period of three year based
upon satisfactory work performance.
b. The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the appointee anytime even before the
tenure without assigning any reason by giving one month notice. Similarly, the engaged person
will have to give one month prior notice before resigning or will have to pay an amount
equivalent to one month’s remuneration in lieu of the notice period.
c. Other terms and conditions will be applicable as issued by ESIC Hqrs. from time to time.
d. Private practice of any kind will not be allowed.
e. No TA/DA will be admissible for joining and other purpose.
f. Candidate selected for engagement will have to execute a contract on a stamp paper of Rs.
100/-. The original contract will be with ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College and ESIC Hospital & ODC
(EZ), Joka and its copy will be with candidate. Cost of the stamp paper will be borne by the
candidate.
g. On engagement Senior Residents will be required to deposit security of Rs. 32000/- (Rupees thirty
two thousand only) through Demand Draft in favour of ESI Fund Account No. 1 at the time of joining,
which is refundable only after completion of engagement period and on production of “No dues
certificate”.
h. Residential accommodation/quarter will be provided to the selected Senior Residents subject to
availability. If provided accommodation, the ESIC Hospital, Joka will not allow any House Rent
Allowance (HRA).
i. Senior Residents will be assigned duty by the Dean/Medical Superintendent of ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC
Medical College and ESIC Hospital & ODC (EZ), Joka or their representative. They will also be required
to attend emergency duties as well as round the clock floor duties in shifts as assigned.
• NOTE- 4 :- At the time of Interview the candidates shall bring the Originals plus Attested copies of NMC/State
MC Registration, Educational qualification certificates/mark sheets from Matriculation or equivalent onwards,
Experience Certificate (if any), Proof of Age (Matriculation certificate/Admit Card), Caste/Category certificate (In
case of SC, ST, OBC & EWS candidate, in updated Govt. of India format) must be submitted, 02 recent passport size
photographs.
• NOTE – 5 :- THE CANDIDATES SHOULD REPORT BETWEEN 09:30 AM – 10:30 AM FOR VERIFICATION OF
DOCUMENTS AT ACADEMIC BLOCK 2ND FLOOR OF ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC MEDICAL COLLAGE, JOKA.
• CANDIDATES REPORTING BEYOND 10:30 A.M FOR INTERVIEW SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
• The ESIC reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage at its discretion and such decision will
be binding on all concerned.
