Assignment On CSS
Objective:
To have a cohesive guide and introduction to students who
are starting to tackle the topic in the subject of CSS, which is
about disassembling a computer, which will be very useful for
beginners or newbies.
Also, to encourage them to always look at the guide, and be
patient and calm when learning and trying to disassemble a
computer; it takes a lot of time for it to be learned, and if
they can seek a professional's advice.
Equipment and Materials:
Screwdriver
Flashlight
Electrostatic Mat
Anti-Static Wrist Strap
Thermal Paste (W/ Syringe without needle)
Procedure:
Part 1; Opening up the Case
Before proceeding turn off your system unit first and ensure
it’s disconnected from the power supply; also take off any
jewelry and accessories.
First, place the Electrostatic mat on the workbench and put
the system unit on top. Wear the Anti-static Strap on your
wrist and clip the end to an unpainted part of the case to
prevent static electricity.
To open the computer case, it is important to carefully read
the manual and follow the manufacturer's instructions as the
process may vary between different models.
Part 2; Disconnecting all inside cables
To begin the process, it is recommended to first disconnect all
internal cables, starting from the 24-pix ATX power connector
and then moving on to the 4-pin 12-volts power connectors.
Then Remove all the SATA power connectors.
Part 2.5; Removing internal hardware(Except
Motherboard)
Start by removing the Power Supply by unscrewing the bolts
on the large box where it is installed that holds it in
place(also remember to put every screw and bolt into a box
organizer so you won’t lose them). After that slide the Power
Supply out of the system unit.
Next, locate the optical drive that is usually located on the
upper side of the case, unscrew the bolts that lock it in place
then slide it out.
Finally, Find the hard disk bay where the hard drive is located,
unscrew its bolt, unmount, and then slide it out.
Part 3; Removing the Motherboard and of its
parts
Firstly, you need to unscrew the screws in the standoffs that
secure the motherboard to the side of the system case. Once
you have completed this step, the motherboard should come
loose and be easily removable.
Next, Locate the memory slot on your motherboard, when
located there should be sticks on the side of the RAM, to
unlock it use your right and left fingers and pull them down
slowly, afterward, place a finger on top of the stick with little
weight to act as a support to the RAM when it is released and
it should be released from the slot.
Then, Locate the CPU fan and pull the rod that locks it and
the heat sink to the mounting tabs; then, put it away.
Finally, lift the tiny metal pole next to the CPU holder that
holds it and find the arrow that indicates where the CPU
should be placed back that corresponds to the same arrow on
the socket.
Observations:
A lot of mind-numbing details need to be added to the
procedures so that the reader/recipient does not commit or
make a mistake for an event that may lead to an expensive
mishap that this guide does not want to cause.
To add I have also observed that it’s all about obedience,
calmness, and sticking to the guide to be successful in
disassembling a computer.
Conclusion:
In summary, this report wants to help the students if they’re
starting with the topic of how to disassemble a computer and
also advise them that they may want to be very cautious,
attentive, and follow all the instructions correctly so not as to
commit mistakes that are “Expensive”.

To watch the source video please visit this YouTube channel:
Arnold De la Peña and Watch his reposted video from the
TESDA ONLINE PROGRAM titled: Computer Disassembly CSS
(Note: I don’t have access to the source of the video from
TESDA but This Op reposted it on YouTube so that’s the best
that I can offer)
Also, I recommend: ALWAYS FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, NEVER
RUSH AND ALWAYS SEEK A PROFESSIONAL’S ADVICE IF CAN.
