As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in extracting, analyzing, and presenting data
insights that drive decision-making within NAB’s financial services landscape. This role requires
strong technical expertise in SQL, Power BI, and data analysis, along with the ability to work
with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop, execute, debug, and enhance ETL processes using tools like SQL, Python,
SAS (EG & SMC), and Excel/O365.
● Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using Power BI to effectively
communicate data insights.
● Analyze and interpret financial services data, including understanding complex data
models and relationships to support metrics and reporting.
● Design and build efficient data pipelines, addressing various data types and resolving
issues like missing data.
● Convert raw data into actionable information and deliver insights to stakeholders to
support strategic decisions.
● Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all data-related tasks, maintaining high-quality
standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
● Strong expertise in SQL with hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation,
and analysis.
● Proficiency in Power BI with the ability to create interactive dashboards and
visualizations.
● Experience in designing and building data pipelines.
● Familiarity with financial services data and industry-specific reporting requirements.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
● Excellent communication skills to present data-driven insights to both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience with Python and SAS tools (Enterprise Guide and Management Console).
● Knowledge of financial and banking regulations or standards is a plus.
● Certification in Power BI or related data visualization tools is advantageous.
