ELIGIBILITY
Q) I am an Ex-servicemen. My Diploma degree is not from Armed Forces. Do I need to fulfil the required
eligibility criteria as regard the stipulated percentage of marks prescribed?
A) In case the requisite qualification possessed is from other then Armed Forces, you are required to fulfil the
eligibility criteria as regard the stipulated percentage of marks prescribed. However, equivalent diploma
certificates issued by Armed Forces shall not require percentage. Such ex-servicemen candidates may enter
marks as per eligibility criteria in order to be considered eligible.
Q) My aggregate % of marks in Diploma as given in my final year marksheet provided by my college is 77.14%.
However, when compute my year-wise marks as aggregate of all years/semesters, my percentages come to
75%. Which of the two shall be considered for computing the cut-off percentage??

A) It is reiterated that as per BHEL job-specifications, the aggregate of marks of all years/ semesters means average of
marks/ GPA of all the years/ semesters without considering the weightage, if any, given to any particular year/
semester by the Institute or University. This is explained below:
