I bring to your kind notice that the SRM IST is hosting the South Zone Inter University
Kabaddi (Men) Tournament – 2024-2025- as given below.

INTER – ZONE STARTS ON 20th NOVEMBER 2024 AT SHRI JJT UNIVERSITY, JHUNJHUNU, RAJASTHAN

Reception: Participating teams may please intimate to the Organising Secretary at SRM IST Campus,
Kattankulathur- 603203, their date, mode and time of arrival well in advance. The University is located
in the suburban of Chennai, midway between Tambaram and Chengalpattu. Several passenger and city
buses shuttle between Chennai and Chengalpattu. Electric trains from Chennai to Chengalpattu, stop at
Potheri railway station, in front of which the University is located on the GST Road. Teams reaching
Chennai Central Railway station Chennai can board electric train at Park station (just in front of
the central railway station) and get down at Potheri. Teams coming via Trichirapalli to Chennai
can get down at Chengalpattu(CGL) and board an electric train to Potheri (15km).

Accommodation: The teams shall be provided unfurnished accommodation in the university

hostels 24 hours prior to the commencement of the matches and teams have to vacate the accommodation
soon after their last match. Teams should bring their beddings and own lock and key. Each team will
have to pay a caution deposit of Rs. 2,000/- which shall be refunded at the time of departure of the team,
after adjusting the cost of damages, if any.

Managers Meeting: The meeting of all the managers of participating teams will be held on
29-10-2024 at 5.00 p.m. in the Directorate of Sports (Near Dental Ground) of the university campus
at Kattankulathur. The managers should hand over four copies of the duly certified eligibility Performa
along with the player’s identity cards to the organizing secretary in the meeting.
Additional Information’s / Instructions:

 The managers of the teams should pay Rs.1,500/- per match as officiating charges to the organizing secretary
before the commencement of their match.
 The Manager of the team should produce Annual Subscription fee Receipt & AIU Registration Fee Receipt.
 Latest AIU and AKFI Rules and Regulation will be followed.
 In support of the Eligibility details of the students, taking part in the Inter-University Men Kabaddi
Tournament, Xerox copies of their 10th class (SSLC) and / Plus Two(12th) /intermediate pass & provisional
certificate of the degree (in case of P.G students) certificates & Aadhar Card attested by the director of
physical education concerned must be submitted to the organizing secretary. Students without the above
documents will not be allowed take part in the Interuniversity Tournament.
 The organizing secretary reserves the right to make changes in the program and venue, if necessary, which shall
be final and binding on the participant teams
 The teams should report in the grounds at least thirty minutes prior to the commencement of their matches
 All the teams should participate in the Inaugural ceremony with their University flags on 30th October 2024 at
7.00 a.m. at the SRM IST, Kattankulathur Campus
 The Team should make their own arrangement for boarding (Number of Canteens are available inside the
campus both Veg / Non- Veg food).
 Food will also be served in the hostel on payment by request.
