DeAire: 4, (5, 6, 6)—100G skeins, color 100
Gauge: 9 sts, 13 rows= 4” on size 15 needles in st st,
3 sts = 1” in 1x1 ribbing on size 13 needles.
Needles: US size 13 & 15 straight knitting needles,
size 13-16 & 24” circular, stitch marker, stitch holder.
Pattern is written for smallest size, with larger sizes in
parenthesis. If only one number is given, it applies to all
sizes.
Back
With size 13 needles, Cast on 45, (51, 57, 63) sts.
Rib Row 1 (WS): p1, *k1, p1; rep from *

These 2 rows establish the ribbing. Work in ribbing
for 2”, ending with a WS Row and decreasing 11,
(12, 14, 16) sts evenly across. 34, (39, 43, 47) sts.
Switch to size 15 needles.

Shawl Collar: With RS facing and size 13-24”
circular, start at right front neck edge bind off
section, pick up and knit 24, (26, 27, 29) sts up the
right front to the shoulder, 3 sts from the back
shoulder to the holder, 12, (13, 15, 15) sts from the
back stitch holder- increasing 5, (6, 6, 6) sts evenly,
3 sts from the back shoulder, and 24, (26, 27, 29) sts
from the left front down to the bind off edge.

Repeat these 2 rows until the ribbing measures 4¼”,
(4 ¾, 4 ¾, 5 ¾) from the pick up edge. Bind off
loosely but evenly in ribbing. Sew the sides of the
ribbing to the bound off front neck sts, overlapping
the right over the left side. Weave in all ends.
