A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the circuit breakers opened during equipment removal are open, safetied and tagged.

B. Preparation
(1) On the overhead panel on the ENG FIRE section of 20VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE is in
position to prevent operation on engine fire detection system.
(2) Make sure that a CTRL LEVER GUARD SAFETY (98S27003001000) is installed.
(3) To get access to the wing-to-fuselage fairing:
(a) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM - WING/FUSELAGE is in position
(4) Make sure that the wing-to-fuselage fairings are removed Ref. MP ATR-A-53-93-XX-00ZZZ-520Z-A.
(a) Make sure that the accesses you got during equipment removal are opened/removed.

A. Installation of Engine Fire Extinguisher Bottle

(1) Clean and do a visual inspection of the component interface and the adjacent area.
(2) Install the bottle (1) on its support (10).
(a) Put it in position with the related coupling nuts (5).
(b) Safety it with bolts (2), washers (3) and the new nuts (4).
(c) Tighten the nuts (4).
(3) Connect the lines (8) and (9).
(4) Lubricate the couplings nuts (5) with 04012 (Pure mineral vaseline (petrolatum)). Install coupling nuts
(5) and torque to between 3.33 m.daN (294.69 lbf.in) and 5.59 m.daN (494.69 lbf.in).
(a) If the union (7) has been moved, torque it to between 3.03 m.daN (268.14 lbf.in) and 5 m.daN
(442.48 lbf.in).
(5) With paint, mark a line in continuation with the line on each union.
(6) Connect the electrical plugs (11), (12) and (13).

B. Energization of the Aircraft Electrical AC and DC Circuits.
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical AC and DC circuits: Ref. MP ATR-A-24-46-XX-00ZZZ-761Z-A.

C. Reactivation of Engine Fire Extinguishing System
(1) Remove safety clip(s) and tag(s) and close circuit breaker(s) opened before.

D. Operational Test of Engine Fire Extinguishing System

(1) On overhead panel 20VU, below ENG 1 FIRE and ENG 2 FIRE handles 7WD and 8WD:
(a) Make sure that all SQUIB and DISCH legends of AGENT 1 and 2 pushbuttons are off.
(b) Push SQUIB TEST pushbutton:
- Make sure that SQUIB legends come on.
(c) Release SQUIB TEST pushbutton:
- SQUIB legends go off.
NOTE: This test is identical for both ENG FIRE handles.

E. Check of Fire Extinguisher Bottle Low Pressure Indication

B. Close-Up in Working Area
(1) Make sure that fire extinguisher bottle installation area is in good condition:
- Bottle supports
- Electrical cables.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install the wing-to-fuselage fairings Ref. MP ATR-A-53-93-XX-00ZZZ-720Z-A.
(a) Close any access opened/removed before.

C. Close Up
(1) Remove access platform(s).
(2) Remove the warning notice(s) used during this procedure.
(3) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
