PENDAHULUAN
1.1 Latar Belakang Masalah
The Olympic Games are an international sports festival that brings
together athletes from all over the world to compete in a variety of
sports. The games are held every four years, alternating between the
Summer and Winter Games. The Summer Games feature sports such
as track and field, swimming, gymnastics, and basketball, while the
Winter Games feature sports such as skiing, snowboarding, skating,
and hockey. The history of the Olympic Games dates back to ancient
Greece, where they were held in Olympia from 776 BC to 393 AD. The
games were originally a religious festival to honor Zeus, the king of the
gods. The games were revived in 1896 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, a
French educator and historian. The first modern Olympic Games were
held in Athens, Greece, and featured 14 countries and 241 athletes.
The Olympic Games have grown significantly since their humble
beginnings in ancient Greece. Today, the games are the largest
sporting event in the world, with over 200 countries and 10,000
athletes participating. The games are also a major economic event,
generating billions of dollars in revenue for the host city and country.
The Olympic Games are more than just a sporting event. They are also
a symbol of peace and unity. The games bring together people from all
over the world to compete in a spirit of friendship and fair play. The
Olympic Games are a reminder that despite our differences, we are
all part of the human family. The Olympic Games have faced a
number of challenges over the years, including boycotts, doping
scandals, and terrorism. However, the games have always persevered
and continue to be a source of inspiration for people around the world.
The Olympic Games are a truly global event that celebrates the best of
humanity. They are a symbol of peace, unity, and hope. The games are

PEMBAHASAN
2.2 Definition The Olympic Games
The Olympic Games are an athletic festival that originated in
afficient Greeceand were revived in the late 19 th century. They are
the world’s foremost sports competition and include athletes from
all over the world. The Summer Olympic Games and Winter Olympic
Games are each held every four years. After 1992, when both a
summer and winter Games were held, they have been held a
staggered two-year schedule so that the olympic games occur ever
two years in either summer or winter.
2.2 History The Olympic Games
The Olympic Games have started over 2,700 years ago in Olympia in
southwestern Greece. About 50,000 people came from all over the
world to watch matches and also participate as delegation to
compete in the Olympics. Game on The ancient Olympics were also
considered a festival religious held to honor Zeus and the king the
gods. When the ancient Olympics were still taking place, prizesnot
in the form of gold, silver and bronze medals. Winner will be given a
garland of leaves and a rousing welcome when the athletes
returned to their respective countries. Athletes compete to compete
victory because they will be rewarded like heroes whenhe succeeded
in bringing victory at the Olympics. On Ancient Olympics, all games
were just dedicated for Zeus. Visitors desire to see the Temple Zeus.
Inside stood a huge gold and ivory statue of king of the gods. The
main event at the Olympics is a non-event sport but more about
sacrifice and offering. On the third day of the competition, 100 bulls
were sacrificed andburned on the altar of Zeus

2.3 Examples Of an Olympic Games
a. Science Olympiad:
1. National Science Olympiad (OSN)
Held every year for middle and high school students in
Indonesia, with subjects in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, Astronomy and Computer Science.
2. International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)
Held annually for high school students around the world,
focuses onmathematics.
3. International Science Olympiad (ISO)
Held annually for high school students around the world,
focusing onbiology, chemistry, and physics.
b. Arts Olympiad:
1. National Arts Olympiad (OSN)
Held every year for middle and high school students in
Indonesia, withsubjects such as Dance, Music, Fine Arts and
Craft Arts.
2. International Children's Games (ICG)
Held every four years for children aged 12-15 years, featuring
varioussports and arts.
c. Other Olympics:
1. Chess Olympiad
Held every two years for chess players from all over the world.
2. English Language Olympiad
Held annually for students at various levels, focusing on
Englishlanguage skills.
3. Robotics Olympiad
Held annually for robotics teams from various
universities andinstitutions, focusing on robot design
and programming.

3.1 Kesimpulan
The Olympic Games are an international sports festival that brings

The suggestion for this paper is that the Olympic Games must be
perseved so that they can be knoen by future generations.
