Q5 B: Suggested Answer
Ibn Sina
I chose Ibn Sina because he is one of the greatest scholars in history, known
as the father of modern medicine. He is famous for his medical writings that
shaped science for centuries. Born in 980 CE in present-day Uzbekistan.
Ibn Sina was a child prodigy, mastering many subjects, including medicine,
by his teens. His most important work, The Canon of Medicine, became a
standard textbook for centuries, revolutionizing how doctors understood
and treated diseases.
Later in life, he continued to write and teach, influencing science and
philosophy. Ibn Sina’s brilliance and dedication to learning left a lasting
impact on medicine and knowledge.
