### **Odin3 Guide: How to Flash Samsung Firmware**

Odin3 is a tool used to flash stock or custom firmware, recoveries, and root
packages on Samsung devices. Here’s a step-by-step guide to using Odin3 safely.

## **⚠ Important Notes Before You Start**


✔ **Backup your data** – Flashing firmware can erase all data.
✔ **Use correct firmware** – Using the wrong firmware can brick your device.
✔ **Charge your device** – Ensure at least 50% battery.
✔ **Enable USB Debugging & OEM Unlock** – Found in Developer Options.

## **Step 1: Download Necessary Files**

## **Step 2: Boot Device into Download Mode**

1. Click the **BL** button & select the **BL (Bootloader) file**.
2. Click the **AP** button & select the **AP (PDA) file** (this may take time to
load).
3. Click the **CP** button & select the **CP (Modem) file**.
4. Click the **CSC** button & select either:
- **CSC** (for a factory reset)
- **HOME_CSC** (to retain data)

*(Some firmware comes as a single **.tar.md5** file. In that case, load it under
**AP**.)*

## **Step 5: Flash Firmware**


1. Ensure **Auto Reboot** and **F. Reset Time** are checked in Odin.
2. Click **Start** to begin flashing.
3. Wait for Odin to display **PASS!** in green.

## **Step 6: Reboot & Verify**


- If stuck on boot screen, enter **Recovery Mode** (**Volume Up + Power +
Home/Bixby**) and **wipe cache/data**.
- If the device is stuck in a boot loop, reflash firmware or perform a factory
reset.

❌ **Odin Stuck on "FAIL"** → Try another USB cable or Odin version.
