How to Order
Below is a listing of the types of single, double and triple pumps available through Caterpillar. Each
Caterpillar part number can represent numerous vane model configurations.

To order the correct configuration, dealers first need to capture the pump model code similar to the examples
shown at the top of the following pages. The pump model code likely will be included on a special identifica-
tion tag located on the end of the pump opposite the shaft. Once the model code is captured, dealers need to
identify the Vickers series number (Example 3525VQ). Once the series number is known, dealers can look up
the corresponding Caterpillar part number in the chart below.

Ordering note: This part number should be entered into a dealer business system much like it is
today with one exception: Caterpillar requires the final model number to be included in the special
instructions portion of the direct ship ordering screen.

Remember, pump groups are not stocked in Cat inventory. Caterpillar’s direct ship process enables them to
be shipped to dealers directly from the supplier. The following pages show a breakdown of single, double and
triple model codes. These codes can be used to determine if certain pump group features are available from
Caterpillar.

CATERPILLAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Caterpillar Inc. or any of its subsidiaries warrants new parts and assembled components sold by it under the
name “All Parts” for use on hydraulics products to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This
warranty is subject to the following:

Warranty Period
12 months starting from the date of sale to the first user

Caterpillar Responsibilities
If a defect in material or workmanship is found during the warranty period, Caterpillar will, during normal
working hours and at a place of business of a Caterpillar dealer or other source approved by Caterpillar:

• Provide (at Caterpillar’s choice) new or Caterpillar-approved repaired parts or assembled components
needed to correct the defect. (Note: Items replaced under this warranty become the property of
Caterpillar.)
• Replace lubricating oil, filters, coolant and other service items made unusable by the defect.
• In the case of assembled components, provide repair labor needed to correct the defect, excluding
assembled component removal and installation labor.

User Responsibilities
The user is responsible for:

• Providing proof of the sale date to the first user.

• The costs associated with transporting the product or equipment in which the product is installed.
• Labor costs, except as stated under “Caterpillar Responsibilities”.
• Local taxes, if applicable.
• Parts shipping charges in excess of those which are usual and customary.
• Costs to investigate complaints, unless the problem is caused by a defect in Caterpillar material or work-
manship.
• Giving timely notice of a warrantable failure and promptly making the product available for repair.

Limitations
Caterpillar is not responsible for failures resulting from:

• Any use or installation which Caterpillar judges improper.

• Attachments, accessory items and parts not sold or approved by Caterpillar.
• Abuse, neglect and/or improper repair, including installation of parts and assembled components in conta-
minated systems.

A different warranty statement applies to parts and assembled components used on Caterpillar product and
product operating in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
