Working Mothers?

In the past, in a traditional family the man was responsible for all the financial
matters and expenses, and the woman for the raising of the children and all the
housework. However, society has changed and along with it the family structure too; on
many occasions today the women help their husbands with the financial burden by
working outside the home. This situation may be troublesome especially if the woman
has a child to take care of. Thus, whether mothers should work or not has become a
debatable issue. Many would claim that women should work and contribute to the family
budget. However, women with young children should not work.
The first and the most important reason why women should not work is that
children need care so that they can develop mentally and psychologically well. Children
who grow up without care will have problems in the future. For this reason, children
definitely need their mothers’ warm interest. Children, who are our future, are important.
If we cannot grow them up well and with instant care, our society will have
insurmountable problems as today's children will make our future's society. Furthermore,
psychologist Chris Anderson warns that children who grow up without mothers’ affection
will have deficiencies and they will be dangerous individuals for the society.
Another reason to support women's not working when they have children is that
women cannot concentrate on their tasks properly. It is doubtless that every mother
loves her child deeply. Imagine a woman who is always thinking about her child when she
is at work. She will not be able to concentrate on her work and do her tasks well and on
time. If tasks are not done, corporation may have operational and financial problems. This
situation will absolutely produce undesirable results.
The final reason to support women's staying far from their work when they have
children is that other people cannot take mother's place. Children need care and love.
This requirement of love and care is only fulfilled by child's own mother. Another person
may not realize what kind of emotion to be a mother is. Besides, people who are caring
children when their mothers are at work can be harmful for children as they can be evil
people. On the news we see many stories while a babysitter is treating a child or baby
badly.
In conclusion, mothers should not work. It is because children need mother's care,
working women would not concentrate on their tasks, and other people would not take
mothers' place. Therefore, if you are a woman who has a child or children, you should
stay home with them and take a very good care of your future.
