I. Objectives:
 Configure client device system settings in accordance with manufacturer’s
instructions and end-user preferences.
 Configure LAN in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and network
design.
 Configure WAN in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and network
design.
 Configure wireless settings in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions,
network design, and end-user preferences.
 Configure security/firewall/advanced settings in accordance with manufacturer’s
instructions and end-user preferences.
II. Subject Matter:
 Topic: Configuring Client Device System Settings, LAN, WAN, Wireless Settings,
and Security/Firewall/Advanced Settings
 References: Computer System Servicing Module, MELCs, Network Configuration
Guides
 Materials: Computers, network cables, NICs, routers, switches, wireless access
points, firewall devices, projector, whiteboard, markers, handouts
III. Procedure:
A. Preliminary Activities:
1. Prayer and Greetings
 Start the class with a short prayer.
 Greet the students and check attendance.
2. Review of Previous Lesson:
 Briefly review the previous quarter's topics to refresh students' memory.
B. Motivation:
 Show a short video clip about the importance of proper network
configuration and security.
 Ask students to share their thoughts on the challenges of configuring
network settings.
C. Lesson Proper:
1. Presentation:
 Introduce the topic: "Configuring Client Device System Settings, LAN,
WAN, Wireless Settings, and Security/Firewall/Advanced Settings."
 Discuss the objectives of the lesson.
2. Discussion:
 Explain the importance of configuring client device system settings in
accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and end-user preferences
 Discuss the steps involved in configuring LAN settings according to
manufacturer’s instructions and network design
 Explain how to configure WAN settings in accordance with manufacturer’s
instructions and network design
 Discuss the procedures for configuring wireless settings in accordance
with manufacturer’s instructions, network design, and end-user
preferences
 Explain how to configure security/firewall/advanced settings in
accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and end-user preferences

 Divide the class into small groups.

guides.
 Ask each group to:

 Configure LAN settings.
 Configure WAN settings.
 Configure wireless settings.
 Configure security/firewall/advanced settings.
 Each group presents their configurations and explains their choices.

 Each group presents their configurations and explains their choices.
