The system maintains the logs for the following activities:
1.1 Disk Space Check
Sample
Df : The df -k command is used to show the amount of disk space that is free on file
systems.
It’s use % should be less than 80% on each file system.
1.2 TOP Command
To check CPU and memory utilization.

Top: It is a system administration tool which allows the user to view
processes running on the system and it can display system summary as
well as list of process and other vital system information. Ideal
percentage is greater than 80% for the running application smoothly.
1.3 Application Process Check
Through ps command we will check java and kannel processes running on server.

Through ps command, we can check running process on the system, whether the
kannel/java process is running or not in all application server.
1.4 Memory Check
VMSTAT : vmstat is used to collect and report data about your system's memory, swap,
and processor resource utilization in real time.

1.5 SAR REPORT
SAR : sar command is used to collect,report & save CPU, Memory, I/O(Input/Output)
usage in Unix like operating system. sar command produce the reports on the fly and
can also save the reports in the log files as well
Transaction Server Logs
All the eTOPUP Transaction server logs will be maintained in the path –

/pretupsvar/pretups_smsrlogs
Please make sure that you are logged with pretups user
1.6 Message Sent Log
All the messages sent to the user from SFT server will be maintained in log
MessageSent.log. The old file will be maintained with an extension 1. These messages can
be searched on the basis of transaction id or mobile numbers.
Log_path:
/pretupsvar/pretups_smsrlogs
Field Description
To User number to which message is to be sent
Text SMS message content
SMSC SMSC ID used to send the message
From Sender port
1.7 EventLog .log
EventLog contains the information of all the unusual events which occur during the
course of a transaction, like validation failure etc.

SMSC Gateway Logs
The SMSC Gateway log files are maintained in the below path –
CurrentLogs:
/pretupsvar/SMSCGatewayslogs
Previous day Logs:
/pretupsvar/SMSCGatewayslogs/oldlogs/
1.8 Access.Log
The log file access.log keeps track of messages these should contain the success logs for
the message termination.
DATABASE Monitoring-

It is the sample like. We don’t have the access to database.
For disk space & top command output remain same

1.12 MIS and DWH Process Status
Check the scheduled process status from OAM server for the important cron and
need to check cron logs on daily basis.
