At the end of the 60 – minute period, the students shall have done the following
with 70% accuracy:
a. Explain the symbiotic relationship between Tourism and Photography;
b. Analyze how the photography influences tourism trends and vice versa;
c. Create a photographic campaign that promotes a local tourism attractions.

The Teacher will present slideshow of iconic tourist destinations
accompanied by stunning photographs.

B. Activity
Create a Mini Campaign
The teacher will divide students into two groups. A member of the group
will pick a strip of paper containing:
Adventure tourism – A type of tourism that involves travel to
remote or exotic locations and includes physical activities,
exploration, and interaction with the nature or unique cultures. It
often appeals to travelers seeking thrilling, challenging, and
sometimes risky experiences.
Cultural tourism – Refers to travel that focuses on experiencing
and engaging with the culture of a destination. This includes
exploring its history, traditions, arts, architecture, cuisine, language,
religion, festivals and other aspects of local life that contribute to its
cultural identity.
Each Group will be given a printed photos and let the student
analyze how photography could be used to promote their assigned
campaign.
After 5 minutes then students will present their output to the class.
2. Lesson Proper (Collaborative Activity)
The Students will stay in their group and will be given a handouts
about The Relationship between Tourism and Photography.
Each group will be given 5 minutes to read and 5 minutes to
present their insights about what they have read.
After the presentation the teacher will also give and discuss more
about the topic.
C. Analysis
The students will stay in their group and the teacher will have a
comprehension check to get students’ knowledge on their higher order
thinking skills (HOTS).
Choose a random number for each group to answer the questions.
1. How does photography help preserve and promote cultural
heritage?
2. What is the role of professional photographers, travel
influencers, and everyday tourists in promoting destination?
3. How does good Photography help tourism?
D. Abstraction
Highlights the importance of Photography in Tourism.
E. Application
Choose a travel destination that you wish to visit, reflect and write a short
response of the question;
Why did you choose this destination? Was photography is a factor in
making it appealing?
