Top Menu – WebEM main menu

• The top menu is the main navigation tool of the WebEM application, allowing the user
to switch between different views of the working panel.
• Top menu layout changes from icons to text depending on the browser window size.

• Clicking on the menu item displays the structured menu of the topic. Clicking on the tab
from the structured menu navigates to the selected view.

Site Status bar – Connection
• Site Status bar Shows BTS site and connection status. It contains two sub-parts: Connection part and Site information
part.

Navigation Panel – Timeline
• The navigation panel locates on the left side of the tool.
• If collapsed, click the button to expand it.
• Depending on the working panel view, the navigation panel contains three
interchangeable tabs: Timeline, Objects, and Steps.
• WebEM Timeline tab: lists updates received from the BTS site. It also allows the
user to select and display data for a specific time frame.

Navigation Panel – Objects

- WebEM Objects tab: For different views, the Object tab shows different content, which maybe:
• An object list of the site elements: hardware and cells, or
• The configuration plan in a tree format, or a list of configuration plans, or
• A list of objects with alarms assigned to them (in the Alarms view), or
• A list of counters and measurements( in Performance Management view).

- The Steps tab appears only when viewing the


Commissioning Wizard tab. It shows the
configuration plan in a tree format.
- Clicking on any object opens the
Configuration Wizard modal view.

• If collapsed, click the button to

Can we load snapshot file to WebEM?

• WebEM will detect the IMS file(s) in the snapshot, and ask the operator to
choose one to load.

• InfoModel Snapshot file (IMS2) is mainly used for BTS troubleshooting purposes. It contains a
full BTS state snapshot.
• Two ways to trigger the downloading of the IMS2 file: NOTE:

Load the IMS2 file in webEM – webEM offline mode

• The IMS2 file can be loaded to WebEM to view the BTS state and its configuration the same way
as when the user is actually connected to the BTS.
• The loaded IMS2 file name is given in the site information bar at the top of the window.
• WebEM works in offline mode when displaying the content provided by an IMS2 file.
• IMS2 file can be loaded through the “three dots” icon at the left end of the site status bar.

Save Alarms
• Alarms, both current and history, could be saved into CSV files.

The file is saved locally on the PC running


the web browser.
The file path is decided according to the
browser’s download setting.
