1. PMEGP – PRIME MINISTER’S EMPOLYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMME
INTRODUCTION
❖ It’s a credit-linked subsidy program launched in 2008 and is formed through merging of two
schemes i.e, PMRY(Prime Minister’s Rojger Yojana) and REGP(Rural Employment
Generation programme).
❖ Administered my Ministry of MSME (Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises). It mostly Aims
to generate employment opportunities in Rural and Urban areas.
OBJECTIVES

✓ Support new manufacturing, service, and trading units.
✓ Promote traditional artisans and rural entrepreneurs.
✓ Help first-generation entrepreneurs establish business
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
✓ AGE : 18 Years and above
✓ QUALIFICATION : 8TH pass
✓ Only new projects are considered REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
✓ Self Help Groups (SHGs) are eligible

❖ It was launched on April 8, 2015, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Aimed to provide
financial support to micro and small enterprises.
❖ It was implemented by National Mudra Bank and is part of government’s financial
