The year 2007 is a symbol of the 5th anniversary of the International Competition for the Foundation ARSKOSOVA, as well as its
membership into EMCY with the office in Germany.
Taking into consideration that officially we already belong to the big European family of the Musical Competitions, we have named
those competitions this year: THE COMPETITION OF THE YOUNG MUSICIANS ARS KOSOVA.
Prof. AKIL KOCI – our composer who lives and works in London, for the third time is delivering the fund of the composer “Akil
Koci” for the winner of the GRAND PRIX and two scholarships of two years duration for the Kosova competitors.
This year we have a pleasant surprise that the well-known German violinist MIRIJAM CONTZEN –a friend of the Foundation
ARSKOSOVA, KAMERFEST AND OF THE COMPETITIONS, in collaboration with LIONS CLUB LIPPE (Germany) has decided
that with her contribution amounting to 2000 Euros be delivered to our competition and young talents.

The Goal of these competitions was:
- Exploring and promoting young talents;
- Professional supervision of the development of new music directions in Kosova and their combination;
- Bringing closer to the mass (audience) the artistic work of Kosova composers and affirming work of world composers that
have universal artistic values;
- Creation of funds for education of young instrumentalists (scholarships) especially for deficit instruments, notes, CD’s, etc.
The response of the public was spontaneous, heartfelt and personal. The Competitors where struggling to see their achievements
internationally recognized and therefore respond deeply to the requirements of the program and expectations of public.
It is obvious that there is no restriction such as age, gender, repertoire, or instruments in this competition, which makes ArsKosova
really unique in our culture.
The Organizer itself expected that this innovative event will broaden the audience base of classical music, which is a vital part of the
Competition and ArsKosova objective.
