DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY

The Department of Anatomy is a fundamental academic and

research division for both undergraduates and
postgraduates. This department offers both traditional
methods like dissection and cutting-edge technologies like
virtual simulation and imaging. There are a good number of
cadavers, specimens, and bone sets, which provide a
comprehensive hands-on understanding of anatomy.
We are proud to offer an advanced 3D tool, Anatomage, a
virtual simulation in dissection, which specializes in
digitizing real human bodies into interactive, fully functional
digital models known as Anatomage Bodies. Our lab is well
equipped with instruments like rotary microtome, automatic
paraffin embedding bath, and an adequate number of
binocular, trinocular, and dissection microscopes. The
department encourages research, and students are motivated
to do minor research projects and present papers during
conferences.
MAHE SRF

Student Research Forum ~ Revolutionaries of Research

The Student Research Forum (SRF) is where curiosity ignites
innovation and discovery drives progress. Established in 2013
under the esteemed Directorate of Research at MAHE, SRF has
evolved into a dynamic platform for undergraduate students
dedicated to fostering a vibrant community engaged in
innovation and research. We organize impactful activities that
elevate our students and their achievements, such as Research
Days that celebrate recipients of prestigious ICMR grants and
showcase their projects.
Our conferences, including the EREVNA, provide invaluable
networking opportunities. We also offer elective exchange
programs and summer training initiatives, equipping students
with essential hands-on experience that extends beyond the
traditional curriculum.
Over the past five years, we have forged impactful
collaborations with universities in more than 100 countries.
This strong network showcases not just our commitment to
national excellence but also international engagement.
What is ProtoSpark?
We are pleased to introduce the ProtoSpark: A Research Protocol
Presentation Competition—a unique opportunity for aspiring
researchers and students to refine their projects.

A well-structured research protocol is essential for any successful

study, yet it can be daunting for those unfamiliar with the
concept.
This event offers both a preparatory talk and a competitive
platform, enabling participants to learn protocol development
and showcase their work.

ProtoSpark consists of two events:

1. Talk on the Topic: "How to Write your Research Protocol?"

- Students will be taught how to create protocols for their
research topics.
2. Protocol Presentation Competition: This competition involves a
fierce competition between the best 10 research protocols.
3. Following this, our chief guest Dr. B Unnikrishnan will
enlighten the students with a keynote address.
