Agricultural

Revolution
Essay
By Swarit Kejriwal
1.A Revolution is a tremendous change. After a Revolution
happens it changes the world in a wonderful way. It
changes the world in such a way that we will never go back
to the people we were before the Revolution. It is like you
can get something better, but you prefer not to. That is the
reason we never go back to the people we were before the
Revolution. The Agricultural Revolution was when humans
(Neolithic people) learned how to farm, and they stopped
hunting and started settling down in small towns and
making plants their main food. Before farming Neolithic
people would hunt and eat. They relied on the animals for
food and were always thinking about how they were going
to feed themselves. If animals no longer existed in one area,
Neolithic People would go to another area for other animals
to hunt and eat. Such People are called nomads.

2.The Agricultural Revolution led to culture. After the

Agricultural Revolution, people started forming small
groups or towns. This splits all the work between people
and gives people free time to think. In this time, they
produced culture and religion. They decorated their houses
and in tough times they said that God was not happy with
them. They believed in God so much that if crops grew,
they would say that God was pleased with them. If they did
not grow, they would worship God all day and think that
they did not worship God enough to please him. And he did
not let them grow crops. When we had even more time to
think people produced new technology. Such technology
that is still used today. Today we can produce new things,
innovative ideas because we do not have the headache to
think about what we will eat for our next meal.

3. The Agricultural Revolution was one of the most

important Revolutions to humans. There are a lot of ways
that the Agricultural Revolution helped humans survive.
That does not mean that they were not other Revolutions
that were important. One such important Revolution was
the Medical Revolution. In the Medical Revolution, we
learned how to make medicine to cure different diseases.
This saved the lives of a lot of people who would die if
they did not have the medicine they needed. It helped cure
other diseases like Covid-19, Smallpox, Rinderpest, etc.
These viruses killed a lot of people and would still more
today if we did not have a cure for it. The Agricultural
Revolution is important in other ways. Without the
Agricultural Revolution we would never have enough food
to feed 8 billion people. People would die because of
hunger and starvation. The Agricultural Revolution gave us
a steady chain of food.
