HISTORY
IUK was founded in the early 2000s by ITED
(International Trust for Education) to offer Islamic and
Arabic language courses. Due to the demand for
affordable, quality education, IUK expanded into a
university offering diverse degree programs.

As a pioneering institution in Kenya, IUK emphasizes


inclusivity, particularly for marginalized
communities. In 2016, we received interim
accreditation for Bachelor of Education (Arts) and
Bachelor of Business Management, and in 2020,
we added programs in Islamic Sharia and
Arabic Language.

IUK is now expanding into fields like Law, IT, and


Medicine, and is forming partnerships with
global universities. Committed to research
and innovation, we prepare students to meet
today’s challenges and the needs of
tomorrow.
