CLINICAL HISTORY : Pain in abdomen.
GROSS : Received unfixed specimen of gall bladder, partly cut open
measuring 7 x 2.5 x 1.5 cm. External surface is pinkish. Mucosa is
pinkish. Wall thickness is 0.2 - 0.4 cm. No stone identified in lumen
/ container.
MICROSCOPY & IMPRESSION : Gall bladder:
- Chronic cholecystitis.
- Rokitansky-Aschoff sinuses noted.
- No evidence of granuloma or malignancy seen.
