BACKGROUND
The teacher has noted that learners at Good shepherd college are misbehaving and a number of them have dropped out from school due to drug
abuse hence the need for them to carry out a research on the number of boys and girls that are abusing drugs at school and identify possible
solutions on how to stop drug abuse.

THE CALA: The CALA has four parts A, B, C and D and the child is required to respond to all the four parts
Part A
Collect data on the drugs which are being found in the community and being abused (5)
Part B
Do a research on the number of girls and boys who are abusing drugs and tabulate the information on a bar graph (25)
Part C
Create a song, short drama or write on placards the information which can help others to know the effects of drug abuse (7)
Part D
Identifying of possible solutions which can be done to stop drug abuse at school (5)

The CALA will consist of four parts A, B, C and D and you are required to respond to all of the four parts

Part A: Collect data on the drugs found in your community which are being abused at school (5marks)

Part B: Carry out a research of how many boys and girls are abusing drugs at school using an appropriate research instrument and tabulate your
information on a bar graph (25 marks)

Part C: Create a short song, drama, poem which can educate others on the effects of drug abuse (7 marks)

Part D: Identify possible solutions that can be done to stop drug abuse at school (5)

HOW YOU WILL BE ASSESSED


Marks will be awarded for the following elements:
 Using the correct method of collecting data and listing of at least any two drugs which are being abused
 Being creative with the evidence of a short poem/drama/song
 originality of your song ,drama or poem
 Confidence when reciting your song ,drama ,or poem
 identification of possible solutions on how to stop drug abuse
