[GEHC HC Connect for Contractors] Install the
GlobalProtect agent

Overview
HC Connect is the remote access platform for GE Healthcare. This document describes the instance dedicated for
ontractors supporting GE businesses on non-GEHC managed Windows PCs. Non-GEHC managed MacOS devices
re not supported.
Note:
Only connectivity to GE applications and services is supported. GE doesn't provide any warranty nor
guaranty for non-GEHC applications, including those supported by your company.
HC Connect does not support backhaul to supplier intranet applications and services that are not readily
available over the Internet.
f you are provisioned to access HC Connect, perform the steps below to install GlobalProtect. GlobalProtect is the
gent that you will use to connect to the GEHC network remotely.
Prerequisites
Minimum client OS requirements: Windows 10 Professional or Enterprise x64
Minimum Version: 20H2
Minimum Build: OS Build 10.0. 19042
Firewall, Anti-Virus, and Disk-Encryption software must be installed, up-to-date, and enabled on your
computer.
You have an active GEHC SSO.
You have a PingID MFA account. Request this account separately from HC Connect. If you do not have MFA,
contact your sponsor to have an account requested on your behalf,
Your SSO has been provisioned to use HC Connect. If you do not have access, contact your sponsor to have
an account requested on your behalf.
Steps
Before you start
here are different tenant URLs to connect to the HC Connect 3rd party tenant for contractors based on your
egion.

To install the GlobalProtect Agent
Once the file downloads are complete, go to your Downloads folder, and then install each of the two certificates
s described in the next steps below.
1. Open the certificate.
2. Click Install Certificate....
3. Select Current User, and then click Next.
4. To select the certificate store, do the following:
a. Click Place all certificates in the following store.
b. Click Browse then select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities.
c. Click OK, then click Next.
5. Click Finish.
6. Acknowledge the security warning. Click Yes.
7. The certificate will import. Click OK. Repeat the process for the second certificate.
8. Once both certificates are installed, double-click on the GlobalProtect installer.
9. Keep the default settings for the installation. Click Close (D).
Once installed, the GlobalProtect agent appears in the system tray.
To disable proxy settings:
1. Open your PC Settings and search for Proxy.
2. Select the Connection Tab then LAN Settings.
3. Deselect the slider for Automatically detect settings, Use setup script, and Use a proxy server.
