Main

Allows to start all other modules of the program and generates the auxiliary windows of
GroupControl representing Groups of synchronization:

- opens the module GroupSync .

- opens the module ControlCenter .

- opens the module TwinExplorer .

- opens the module Log .

- opens the module Customize .

- blocks the automatic removing of the main window and the auxiliary windows of

GroupControl - behind the screen edge.

- closes the program.

The main window is hidden behind the screen edge by default and it appears at the pointing the
mouse at the icon in SysTray .

Spaces of windows from the screen edge, as well as the delay and speed of removing can be
adjusted in the window Customize on the tab Main. In the same place it is possible to establish
property to show standard framework of the window , at it the Main window will cease to be
removed for the screen edge and will occur there where you drag it by the mouse behind the
standard heading of the Windows window. One can order to remember this position, and the
window will appear always in this place at the program start.

The auxiliary windows GroupControl - are hidden behind the screen edge as
well and appear at the mouse moving above the GroupSync button They are intended for the fast
start of Groups of synchronization preliminary adjusted in the GroupSync window, display a course
of their performance and allow to interrupt it.

The button
allows to disconnect the removing of the auxiliary window behind the screen edge.

The button
allows to stop performance of the group synchronization.

Start of synchronization is made by click of the mouse upon the group name, after that color of the

window panel will change and the progress bar will begin to display the course of execution. After
the termination of performance the window will accept the former color.

GroupSync
It is intended for complex group comparison and synchronization of directories.

If you have to transfer working files and folders every day from a disk to a disk or to a mobile
carrier, to open several folders, to move and remember "whether I have overlooked something or
not ", now this problem is also solved, only once you have to adjust group of synchronization and
further all complex and (or) long moving of files will be made by one button pressing either under
the schedule, or upon termination of the file editing, and about the termination of the DirSync
process you will be informed by sound signal or by E-Mail message.

You should not worry about presence of different versions of your working project - at copying
DirSync will rename the folder of old versions, leaving in an actual condition the most updated
version and if you do not have any place on the mobile carrier, folders can be renamed cyclically by
FIFO principle -the newest version of a file or a directory will be added in the cycle, and the oldest
will be deleted, all intermediate will be renamed consistently.

Tools of comparison of directories which you saw before in many file managers allowed to compare
the directories only in pairs - now you have the tool, allowing to compare any quantity of directories
by the set of criteria simultaneously, to remember all adjustments of comparison so that
subsequently easily to use them repeatedly, to copy or move files individually to each of directories
according to patterns, to work with tens thousand files simultaneously - quickly and conveniently.

All these things you can fulfill in this window.

At the left there is the tree of synchronization groups, after creation the groups and their participants
are displayed there.

The button
- as well as everywhere isthe main button. With its help one can make both creation of
new objects and changing of already existing ones, all these actions occur after pressing this button.
You should confirm any change of properties of objects by pressing it.

The tab Directory allows to create group and to fill it with directories - participants.

The panel Directory displays a full name of the directory which will be included into the group.
The button on the right allows to choose a directory in the tree.

The field Group Name allows to choose a name of the group of the dropping out list or to type a
name of new group. If in this field there is a name of nonexistent group, than after pressing button
OK it will be created and the directory specified in the field Directory, will added into it, if such
directory in this group already exists, its properties will be changed according to the fields of the
current tab.

The dropdown list File Parameters is the parameters of files used at synchronization:

l FirstWrite - the earliest version of the file from all files with identical names in the group of
directories is copied into the directory.
l LastWrite - the latest version of the file from all files with identical names in the group of
directories is copied in a directory.
l SizeMore - the biggest file is copied into the directory .
l SizeLess - the smallest file is copied into the directory.
l Master - The predetermined pattern means, that nothing is copied into this directory, but all
files from it will be copied into other directories of the group irrespective of similar files
available in them.
l Slave - The predetermined pattern means, that nothing is copied from this directory, but all
files, available in other directories of the group, are copied irrespective of similar files
available in it.
l Empty - The predetermined pattern means that preliminary this directory will be cleared - in
the rest, it is similar to Slave.
l Plain - The predetermined pattern means that files are copied into this directory without
taking into account the hierarchical structure of the source, that is it will contain all files of
directories of the group without subdirectories.

The dropdown list Overwrite - property of objects of the directory at their copying or moving to
other directory in relation to already existing similar objects (the active side always is engaged
wihth renaming):

l Ask - ask.
l All - re-record all.
l None - do not re-record anything.
l RenNew - To rename a new object (if this object occurs to be a directory, than accordingly
the whole ots contents will receive new full names and ways at saving the relative ones.
l RenOld - To rename the old object - the figure is added to a name of object at renaming.
l RenCycle - Accordingly renaming is made cyclically, the number of objects in the cycle is
set in the field RenameCycle. At that in the target directory the given number of versions of
one object - file or a directory is supported and the last copied object is in the beginning of the
chain of renaming (name, name1, name2, ... , nameN) where the objects move by the end, and
are deleted when it is achieved. If the cyclic renaming does not manage to be finished - and
the copied object may not be kept with a constant name, for example, in case when one of
renaming directories is occupied and may not be renamed, the copied object with addition of
one or more exclamation marks to the name is renamed - name!! .

The dropdown list Direction - a direction of the objects movement:

l IN - Objects only are copied inside the directory (in case of Slave it is obligatory to apply).
l OUT - Objects only are copied from the directory (in case of Masterit is obligatory to apply).
l IN,OUT - The objects are copied both into the directory and from it.
l IN,OUT,OUT - Objects are copied into the directory and move from the directory (are
copied in other directories and then deleted from this)
l OUT,OUT - Objects only move from this directory.
l OnlyReport - Only the record of event in the log is made, it is applied only to record the
notices on events in the directory at the Notify parameter selection.

The dropdown list Report - property of objects of the directory concerning records of events
(Log), occurred at synchronization:

l All - both successful attempts and failures are recorded.

l Success - only successful attempts of copying or the objects moving.
l Failure - only failure attempts.
l None - nothing is recorded.

The field RenameCycle sets the size of the cycle, number of versions of object of the cycle.

Checkbox Enable Notify transforms group of synchronization into the task which is carried out
after reception of notices of file system. After confirmation of installation of this checkbox, the
group will appear in the list of the tag Jobs of window Control Center where it is possible to start a
stream of expectation of notices subsequently.

Checkbox SubDirs specifies that it is necessary to synchronize not only the specified directory, but
also all its subdirectories. If you do not need all of them, and only some of them - then you can take
an advantage of the panel Exclusive .

Panel Exclusive allows to make the list of subdirectories which will be synchronized.

Checkbox Apply Exclusive includes application of this property.

Button Explore allows to investigate the root level of at the directory and displays all found objects
in the list at the left - which afterwards might be specified by the checkboxes selection after
confirmation, this list is stored together with all other data.

Button Invert Selection allows to invert allocation, it is for those cases when you need to allocate
99 objects of 100 - instead of clicking with the mouse 99 times, you allocate one object and then
turn allocation by this button.

Button Select All is pressed by default , allows to allocate all objects at once in the list.

The panel Notify Change Filters allows to choose filters of notices about changes in the file
system, it becomes accessible at the checkbox Enable Notify selection .

The panel File Attributes allows to choose attributes of objects which the program will search for
the further synchronization.

The panel Search Mask defines a mask of search of the objects names in the directory, it is filled
by standard rules of the masks making - there is"*" by default, that means all names, any number of
any symbols.

Checkbox IgnoreDir allows to exclude from search along the mask all subdirectories, otherwise, if
the name of a subdirectory does not correspond to the mask, all objects contained in it , will be
excluded from search.

The panel Rename Template allows to set the pattern of files renaming. Directories are renamed
only by addition of the incremental counter at the end of the name - if the same directory will be
found, or cyclically . Files are renamed by default only if duplicates are available, according to the

pattern or cyclically.

If the checkbox Rename All Files it is chosen, then all files, irrespective of the duplicates
availability will be renamed according to the pattern. If the duplicates available the incremental
counter will be added also besides the pattern if it is not stipulated in the pattern.

Cyclic renaming is carried out only by the incremental counter irrespective of the pattern.

The button Sync starts process of synchronization allocated in the tree of the group of
synchronization.

The button Delete allows to delete any unit of the tree - Group or its participant - a directory.

The button Exit closes the window.

The tab Group allows to set the properties of Group of Synchronization and to look through a
history of its performance.

From above the list of the history of starting is located that is specified in the tree of the Group of
synchronization:

The field Starter displays an icon and duplicates its inscription indicating the reason of the Group
start:

l Manually - manually by pressing the button .

l Schedule - under the schedule.
l Notify - by notification of the file system.

The field Data shows the date of start.

The field Start shows the time of start..

The field Stop shows the time of termination.

The field Result shows the result of performance.

The field Progress shows the progress of execution.

The field Group displays the name of the chosen group the properties of which display all other
elements of the tag.

The dropdown list Event allows to choose event of start of synchronization of Group:

l Manually - The group will be started manually.

l Timer - The group will be started under the schedule.

The panel Schedule serves for the schedule task performance of the Group scanning.

If you have established the value Y in the field Minute, it means that the Task should be carried out

with the Y -minutes interval from the first scanning moment , or from that moment when you start
the stopped timer, making a note on the checkbox at the left from the Task name on tab Jobs of the
ControlCenter window - at halt the value of the timer is nulled.
If you have established value X in field Hour it means that this task will be carried out with the X -
hour Y -minutes interval.
If you have established the value Z in the field Day, the task will be carried out on everyone Z-day
at X-hour Y -minutes.
If you establish the Z value in the field WeekD, the field Day will automatically be nulled. It will
mean that the task will be carried out on every Z -day of the week at X- hour Y -minutes.
MonthD - Similarly on day of month

The fields Created and Modified display, accordingly, time of creation and change of the Group.

The panel Save defines the parameters of storage of the history of Groups. The number is displayed
in the field Last, and radiobuttons - the number of that is displayed in the field Items- number of
records, or Days- the number of days for which the records will be stored, and all beyond this
number will be deleted.

The toolbar on the right allows to:

l - update the list of the history of start.

l - remove the allocated record from the list.
l - empty the list.

The button Events calls the window Events which are purposed for customization of actions before
and after synchronization and in case of some events or some parameters.

ControlCenter
It is intended for the global control of resources of your hard disk - by the occupied space, free
space, change by appearance or disappearance of files and directories, constructions of tops
that will help to find the unused ones,the biggest either the oldest or new files. It will enable
you to avoid unexpected events of the disk overflow, change of the system files by viruses or a
contamination of the system by old and unused files.

The Tab System is intended for the control of disk space. The button is intended to create or
change the History - the root object of the tree displayed at the left. The whole work starts with it in
this window. If there are no objects in the tree, or there is a name in the input field History Name
which does not belong to any object and it is not an empty line, then a new history will be created
there by pressing this button. If there is the name of already existing object in the input field its
properties will be updated .
To view the properties of any object in the tree it is necessary to click on it with the mouse, then
depending on the allocated object the required tag will open, only if the button is not in the
pressed status (in this case switching of tabs of properties will be blocked) .

So, if you clicked on:

-- object of the History - the tab History will open and all properties of this object will be

displayed in its elements.

-- object Scan, the tab Pie will open and all accessible disk space of system and total volume of
disks will be displayed on the circular diagram.

-- object of disk (C:\) the tab Pie will open and the sections Free and Busy accordingly will be
shown on the circular diagram, graphically , with the indication of percents, you will see, what
occupied place on the disk you have.

-- object Busy, the tab Pie will open and you will see the root catalogue of the disk on the
circular diagram.

-- object of the directory (C:\xxx) the tab Pie will open and you will see all contents of the
directory on the circular diagram, with the indication of percents of space occupied with
subdirectories and files. Clicking on sector of the appropriate directory, you may view its contents
on the new diagram. The appropriate branch will be developed on the tree. To return back one can
click on the tree or to take advantage of the panel of navigation for movement
forward or backward along the passed way.

-- one of affiliated nodes of object Log The tab Line will open and the history of occurrence,
change and deleting of object with the indication of its size and an exact times will be displayed on
the linear diagram.

The main toolbar:

- The button of scanning is similar to button Scan on the tab History , it starts scanning the
History selected in the tree depending on its kind. If the History is empty and the checkbox
Exclusive is not marked on the tab History,the History will be global and nodes with the computer
name, time of scanning and all accessible disk stores with nodes of the free and occupied space will
be added in it.
If the History is not empty, the rescanning and comparison will take place, if any changes will be
found, they will be written down into the Log- .
Scanning will be started only if the History is not in process of other scanning. The availability of
the pregressbar signals about it, that is near of the History unit.

- The button of scanning of the disk is similar to button Scan Selected Disk on the tab History,
starts scanning the occupied space of the chosen disk, after that the node of the tree Busy of the
selected disk has affiliated units - it becomes nonempty (if there is something on the disk).
Scanning will be started only if the History is not in process of other scanning. The availability of
the pregressbar signals about it, that is near of the History node.

- The button of the History storage.

- The button of the Duplicate storage.

- The button of the History loading from the file.

- The button of deleting of the selected node of the tree.

- The button of deleting of affiliated nodes of the selected unit of the tree.

- The button of all trees deletion.

- The button of blocking of contextual switching of tabs is applied if necessary to fill the property
of Search Mask on the tab History, properties Where on the tab Events and properties Mask on the
tab Top - in all these input fields the ways of files or directories will occur which you will select on
the tree of the History, that will relieve you of necessity to fill or copy them manually.

- The button Abort is intended for interruption of all operations of scanning, they may take long
time depending on the size and fullness of the disks.

- The button of scanning of all accessible disks is similar to button Scan All Disks on the tag
History.

- The button of closing of ControlCenter window

- The button of records in the click-list, if it is in the pressed condition - all your clicks on units
of the tree will be listed, that then one can make certain collective actions with these objects - for
example, to delete all at once. It is convenient, if objects are in different places and they cannot be
allocated simultaneously, therefore it is necessary to allocate each object separately to start process
of deletion or moving, to pass to the following object etc. Now you may collect them all in one
place, make certain that nothing has been overlooked and to start one process of processing.

The tab Pie is intended to display the circular diagrams of objects of the History with the purpose to
estimate the distribution of total amount of the occupied disk space between files and directories.

The circular diagram displays current object, allocated in the tree of the History , except for the
object of the History and object Log. By clicking with the mouse on any sector of the diagram, it is
possible to fall down on the following underlying level of the tree - for example - clicking on sector
which represents a folder, you fall down in this folder, and the diagram will display its contents. The
appropriate unit on the tree of the History will be simultaneously developed. Or one can click on
object on the tree and the diagram will display its contents.
To return back one can do with the help of the panel of the navigation which is
writing down all your movings or the tree of the History.
All your moving along the directories, both with the help of the diagram, and with the help of the
tree, are recorded also in the list on the tab TopClickList. Subsequently you may move, delete,
empty or rename them, using tools of this tab.

At the pressed button the panel of adjustment of the diagram on the right will be seen:

SpinEdit TooSmall allows to not overload the diagram with excessive fine details if to reduce it
value, the fineer objects contained in the directory which may very much become visible. If the
relative size of the file or the directory in percentage of the whole volume of the parental directory
less the number of TooSmall, it gets into this section and is not shown.

SpinEdits Z Rot allows to rotate the diagram around the axis, a perpendicular plane of the screen
for the best survey of the overlapped labels or marks - yellow rectangular with names of files and
their parameters. Rotations also can be achieved by horizontal moving of the mouse on the diagram
field, holding the left key of the mouse and the button Shift .

SpinEdits X and Y allow to stretch or compress the diagram to increase across or vertical line,
accordingly, if the button is pressed, then the proportions will be stored at changes.
The same effects can be achieved by horizontal or vertical moving of the mouse on the diagram
field, holding the left key of the mouse and the button Alt .

Spin Edit Zoom allows to scale the diagram, at that if the button is in the pressed position fonts
are scaled also.
The same effects can be achieved by vertical moving of the mouse on the diagram field, holding the
left key of the mouse and the button Ctrl .

SpinEdit Y Rot allows to turn the diagram about the axis, parallel to the bottom side of the screen.
One can achieve rotations also by vertical moving of the mouse on the diagram field, holding the
left key of the mouse and the button Shift .

The button , if it is pressed, the text on the diagram will be scaled together with the diagram,
otherwise it remains the constant size.

The button allows to cancel all user adjustments of the diagram and to return it into its initial
condition by applying adjustments " by default" .

The panel of navigation remembers your movement on the tree of the History and
allows to make them again - forward and backward. Counters on the label of the tab TopClickList
allow to see the number of steps and the current step. By pressing on the button you may clear
the counter off the passed units of the way.

The strip of scrolling allows to displace the diagram across - one can do it simply by moving the
diagram with the mouse too.

The vertical strip of scrolling allows to displace the diagram on a vertical line - one can do it simply
by moving the diagram with the mouse too.

The tab Line is intended to display tyhe objects changes of the file system in time. On the first unit
of the diagram of any object its initial size will be displayed on the subsequent units - its increments
- with plus or minus. The diagram can conveniently be scaled and shifted with the help of strips of
scrolling below and on the right.
In windows X and Y the time and the size in the point where the cursor of the mouseis, are
displayed, that allows to find out precisely - what, when and how mich has changed.
The button in the right bottom corner allows to switch off the marks display, if there are many of
them and they prevent you.

The tab History is intended to create, view and change the properties of the History. Any change in
the elements of this tab made by you, come into force only after your confirmation by pressing the

button in the bottom of the window. All changes will be enrolled into the properties of the
Current object of the history, its name is displayed in the window of editing of History Name and
on the panel of the tree it is marked by a red rectangular. After all changes are entered, the icon
of diskette will appear near the icon of the History - as a reminder that this object has some not
stored properties. If this object property is assigned to save automatically, with the help of the

selection of AutoSave checkbox on the tab Options, and the way of storage and the file name is
assigned, the icon of diskette will disappear in one second, after the changes will be saved in the
file.
Otherwise, one can press the button on the Main toolbar and to save the History manually.

The panel Shedule serves to make the schedule of scanning performance of the Group.

CheckBoxes

SubDirs If it is marked, all subdirectories of the root catalogue will be scanned. Otherwise only
the direct contents of the root catalogue.

Exclusive If it is marked, the button Select Exclusive and checkbox Enable Notify begins to be
accessible. It means, that this History will be held not for the whole disk, only for a separate
directory which should be selected in the window appearing by pressing on the button Select
Exclusive, that is the separate directory and its contents will be scanned only. Such exclusive
directories may be several in one History. Also one can switch tracing of notices of the file system
by the checkbox Enable Notify.

Enable Notify If it is marked, the rescanning of the History will be made after the signal
reception of the notice from the file system about any changes in the directory, their list is submitted
on the panel Notify Change Filters. It is necessary to tick the required filters of notices, tick the

checkbox and press the button, after that the icon of this History will appear on the tab Jobs in
the list Notify, then one can start the stream of notices listening, ticking the checkbox near to the
name of the History.
The history may contain any number of exclusive directories, but tracing for the notices will be
made only for one - the first in the list or the uppermost in the tree.

AutoSave If it is marked, all changes of the History are stored in the file automatically.
According to the way and the name of the file specified in the field Save Path. This field can be
filled manually but at confirmation of this checkbox selection the Save Dialog itself will fill it.

Rescan Allways It is applied to the not exclusive History, because the exclusive History at
everyone rescanning is checked completely, as the directory, in contrast to the disk device, cannot
inform about changing of its size. To scan again the big disk with hundreds thousand files is not
always required, therefore, by default, the disk rescanning is made only if the size Busy has
changed, - the occupied space of the disk and if the disk has already been scanned by the button
pressing Scan Selected Disk or , that is node Busy already has the affiliated units. If this
checkbox is marked, the rescanning is made even if the size has not been changed, but preliminary
scanning should be in any way, otherwise it is not meaningful to rescan, - the new condition should
be compared with previous one.

Enable Shedule It allows to assign the Histories with the status of the Task, afterwards it
appears on the tab Jobs and can be executed under the schedule, given on the Schedule panel .
After the checkbox will be selected, The schedule will start on the opposite side to the History name
on the tab Jobs, and in the same place in the field Count Down the reverse countdown will begin
before the start of the next rescanning.

The panel File Attributes serves to select the objects attributes, the search of which will be
conducted at the History scanning - these are the standard attributes of the objects of Windows. By

default, if you have not selected other, the attribute Any File is considered as a selected one, it
means, that all existing files, directories, latent and system objects will be found.

The panel Notify Change Filters serves to select the filters of system events at supervision over
any directory at the selected checkbox Enable Notify.

The panel Search Mask serves to define a kind of names of the objects , the search of which will be
conduct at the History scanning - by default * means all names, and C:\Dir\* means all names
beginning on C:\Dir\* - that is the contents of this directory. In general the standard rules of the
mask making are applied the mask making are applied.

The button Select Exclusive becomes accessible at the checkbox Exclusive selection and opens the
window of the directory selection.

The button Scan Selected Disk is similar to the button of the main toolbar and starts the scanning of
the disk store, selected on the tree.

Button Scan is similar to the button of the main toolbar and starts scanning the History. If the
History is empty, it has only one affiliated node - Log, the initial scanning of the system will take
place and the units of the system will be added to unit of the History, as well as time of scanning
and units of all accessible stores, beginning with the disk C:\ . Further you may choose any disk and
scan it with the button Scan Selected Disk or .If the History is not empty, the rescanning will
start.

Button Events is a caller for the window Events which purposed for customization of actions
before and after scanning and in case of any events and on reaching some parameters.

The tab TopClickList is intended to construct the tops, or ratings of files or directories and allows
to move or delete these objects at once. Also it accumulates the list of objects of files and
directories, which you clicked with the mouse in the tree of the History or the Pie diagram for the
further work with these objects by means of this tab.
Buttons:

l starts process of deletion or moving of objects of the list.

l becomes accessible at allocation of objects of the list, which of them will need the
directory of assignment (at assignment of operations of copying or moving), it opens dialogue
for the directory of assignment selection for the relocatable or copied files.
l becomes accessible at the objects of the list allocation, to which the operation of renaming
is assigned, it opens dialogue of a new name selection. All allocated objects will be assigned
with this name with a digital index - if such objects are more than one.
l allows to delete all objects from the list.
l allows to delete the allocated objects.
l allows to update the information about the files availability on the disk, that is reflected by
the icon, if the file exists or by an icon if is not present.
l allows to allocate all displayed list.
l allows to invert the allocation.
l starts construction of the top.
l shows or hides the panel of filters.
l starts the filtration process and/or sorting, it becomes accessible, only if you change one of
the filters, or will click on heading of any column, and will change the order of sorting. By

default the sorting is carried out on the first column on descending - the icon tells you
about it. The icon specifies sorting on ascending. The icon specifies the absence of
sorting.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Show - simply display.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Move To Recycle - moving to
the recycle bin of Windows.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Delete - deletion from the disk
without an opportunity of restoration.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Copy - copying in the selected
directory.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Move - moving to the selected
directory.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Rename - renaming if there
are several object, they will receive identical names, but with the indexes beginning with one.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Empty To Recycle - moving
of contents of the directory to the Recycle bin of Windows/
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Empty - deletion of all
contents of the directory without an opportunity of restoration.
l allows to assign to all objects allocated in the list the action Move Content - moving of all
contents of the directory to the selected directory.

The panel allows to move under the list of top, the serial number is displayed
in the column Num, and on the panel on the right Total - full number of objects in the top, Filtered -
number of the filtered objects are displayed.

Columns of the list of objects :

l Name displays full names of the objects.

l Size displays the size of the object, as well as an icon ,if the object exists. Or an icon if
the object is not found on the disk.
l Date displays date - by default this is date of creation for directories, and for files is the date
of last change but if one changes the appropriate filter, one can see both the dates of creation
and the last access to files - it will not affect on directories.
l Time displays time by analogy with the previous column.
l Num is a serial number in the filtered list - by default the filtered list coincides with the
common list of the top.
l Action displays action which will be applied to the object after pressing the button. If one
clicks by name object with the left button of the mouse cyclic search of possible actions will
start with display appropriate icons.

If by clicking with the right button, one can select an action for the allocated object in the contextual
menu at once, without consecutive searching.

At allocation in the list of object where Move stands in the column Action, the button becomes
accessible - with the help of which one is required to choose a new folder for relocatable object if
one does not make it, the object will not be moved anywhere.

At allocation in the list of object where Rename stands in the column Action, the button
becomes accessible to call dialogue of renaming, if one does not take an advantage of it, the object

will not be renamed. Take a note that in the file name there should not be symbols \ / : * ? " < > | .

The tab Jobs is intended to control the carried out tasks. At the left on the panel Schedule the
existing tasks are displayed. Any object may become as a Task - the History or Group of
Synchronization - which should be carried out under Schedule or under the external event, for
example under the notice of file system. If you will assign the schedule of Histories (Enable
Schedule) performance or notice Enable Notify, it becomes the task and will appear in the list.

In column Status the current status of the task will be shown, whether it is executed or not, and in
column Execution the course of execution of the task will be shown, when it will be executed . In
the column CountDown, the reverse countdown prior to the beginning of task execution will be
shown, if the task has been started by the checkbox selection near to its name .

If you will appoint to the exclusive History tracking for notices of file system by the checkbox
Enable Notify selection and confirm your choice with button OK, it the also becomes the task and
will appear in the list on panel Notify and in the column Dir Name the name of the directory will
appear. One can start a stream of notices tracking by the checkbox selection at the left of the Name
of the task.

In lists of tasks the Groups of Synchronization of the Window GroupSync may appear, as they may
be executed under the schedule as well or after reception of notices of file system, the single
difference will be only that Groups of Synchronization may have any number of directories in the
group and on every one the tracking of notices may be individually adjusted.

If by clicking with the mouse under the task, in the right list the history of starts of the Task will be
shown, which is stored together with it in the file . And in the first column of the list besides the
textual description there will be an icon indicating the reason or the initiator of start of the Task
displayed as well:

- The task has been started manually.

- The task was started under the Notice.

- the task has been started under the Schedule.

The history in itself has no the history of start, but receives it only for that period while becomes as
a Task. The group of Synchronization has the history of starts always - whether it was a Task or not.

On the bottom panel of the tab Jobs there are the following:

Button Execute it allows to start execution of any Task allocated on the tag.

Panel Starter Filter allows to establish the history of events filtration and to look through only
what are necessary for you.

Panel Schedule reflects the schedule of the task performance and allows to change it, not switching
on other panels or windows.

Panel Save defines the parameters of the history of tasks storage. In the field Last the number is
displayed, and radiobuttons - the number of that is displayed in the field - Items number of records,

or Days - number of days for which the records will be stored, and all outgoing for this number will
be deleted.

Button OK confirms the inserted changes - if you want the changes of the schedule have come into
force - just press it.

The Status Bar in the left panel displays the allocated nodes of the tree, further the total number in
the list of objects is displayed (files and directories), received at the disks scanning, this amount
may be rather big, depending on volume, quantity and system disks filling.

Further the current quantity of units in the tree is specified, creation of units for all tens or hundreds
thousand objects of the list may occupy tens and hundreds Mbytes of operative memory, therefore
only the minimal required quantity is created dynamically, only those, which parental units are
unwrapped.

At the parental units rapping their invisible children are deleted at once, you will see it on the
counter at once. The following panel specifies the quantity of operative memory occupied with
objects of the list, and gives rough representation about the amount of the disk space, required to
store the tree on the disk.

TwinExplorer
It is intended for replacement of standard Explorer Windows for viewing and manipulation
with objects of file system.

There are trees at the left and at the right that display structure of disks and catalogues of file
system. The active tree (or current) has white color of the background, and the passive has a gray
one. At a click by mouse on the tree, it becomes current and is painted in the appropriate color. On
the tags of the central panel the objects of the active tree are displayed every has each own.

The tab View displays the contents of the current directory of the current tree as the list. If the panel
of the tree is in focus - the current directory will be allocated, otherwise the thin red frame will be
outlined around of it. Files and directories can be moved between trees, nodes of trees and the tab,
after the object will be reset on the target object, the window of synchronization will open and you
will see the list of relocatable objects and once again can modify it and start on execution.
From above there is a panel of navigation and the window of way - where the current way is
displayed. To transfer it to the exchange buffer of Windows once only you need to click on the
window with the mouse - and you should not mark, press at first one, then the other button of the
mouse, as you usually do.
The panel of navigation
- Remembers your moving along the catalog tree and allows to move forward,
backward and to the beginning of your current way or to clear the list of steps by the button
. The panel of navigation is duplicated from above and from below so that you could avoid
superfluous movements by the mouse, crossing the whole window if you work with files at the top
or bottom edge of the list.

The button
-allows to freshen the list, to read objects from the disk again.

The button
-allows to include filling of click-list, all your clicks on units of the tree or items of the list will
be listed so that to make certain collective actions with these objects, for example, to delete
everything at once. It is convenient, if objects are in different places and they cannot be marked
simultaneously, therefore it is necessary to mark each object separately to start process of deleting
or moving, to pass to the following object etc. Now you can collect them all in one place, to be
convinced, that nothing have been overlooked and to start one process of processing.

system, it slows down the work, but sometimes it is necessary.

The tab ClickList displays the list of the chosen files or directories From above there is the list of
objects which you have clicked in the trees or on the previous tab, their number is shown on label of
tab.

button of the mouse the cyclic search of possible actions will begin with display of appropriate
icons.

If you click with the right button - at once it will be possible to choose action for the allocated
object in the contextual menu - without consecutive searching.

selection of the directory of assignment for relocatable or copied files.
l It becomes accessible at allocation of objects of the list to which the operation of renaming
is appointed - opens the dialogue of choice of a new name. To all allocated objects this name
with a digital index will be given, if such objects are more than one.
l Allows to delete all objects from the list.
l Allows to delete the allocated objects.
l Allows to update the information on availability of files on the disk - that is shown by an
icon , if the file exists or by an icon , if not.
l Starts process of filtration and/or sortings , it becomes accessible, only if you change one
of the filters, or will click on heading of any column - and will change the order of sorting.
l Allows to assign the action Show to all objects allocated in the list - to show properties.
l Allows to assign the action Move To Recycle to all objects allocated in the list - moving
to Recycle bin of Windows.
l Allows to assign the action Delete to all objects allocated in the list - deleting from the
disk without possibility to restore.

selected directory.

After performance of actions with the file system objects, without any errors, the objects disappear,
but do not disappear absolutely - they can be seen, if to choose the appropriate filter on the panel of
the filtration. To make the filtration panel seen, just press the button . The Not Executed filter is
established by default, and consequently all executed tasks disappear. Exception is made only if at
performance there was an error, then in front a sign is added to the file icon or the directory and
the system message about the error character is added in column Action. Contents of this column
may be latent by the right edge of the window, but it is shown on the emerging help (Hint) - if to
detain the mouse cursor above it, and also it is displayed in the first section of the status line when
you will guide the mouse cursor upon the object in the first column.

For fast viewing the latent objects of the list there are the stipulated buttons including predetermined
filters below on the main toolbar:

l - The filter by default.

l - The processed objects.
l - The raw objects.
l - All objects.
l - Existing objects.
l - Non-existing objects

The tab Commands displays the list of short commands which you may assign to any frequently
carried out actions, for example transitions in the working directories or starting of frequently used
programs.

Commands may consist of any number of alphanumeric symbols, all symbols are automatically
transmitted to the top register.

For example "aa" - space or "zz" -space may mean transition into the directory "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Samples". Such format is chosen so that there were no conflicts with
existing combinations of fast keys and for speed, to press two or three times one key, and then space
key is faster than to move a finger between the keys, to spread the palm wide by keeping one to
reach another and the third one.

When TwinExplorer is an active window, total input from the keyboard is filtered and displayed in
the window Command String on the main toolbar. Alphabetically - digital symbols are displayed
only. The window of the command line is cleared by pressing of key Enter. Pressing the Space key
one starts the search and execution of the command. Conformity of the command name in column
Name with contents of the Command String, if concurrence is found the command is carried out.

The field of editing Name displays the command name - new or allocated in the list.
The dropdown list Action gives a choice of actions which the command may make.
The editing field Path or Command String gives a way or a command line.
Each tree of directories - left and right - has the list of commands which is stored automatically in
process of creation and change. The list of an active tree is displayed.

The tab Systems displays the list of the deleted systems which can be started by pressing the button
- then dialogue of adjustment of network connection will open. Or to delete by pressing the
button . If network connection is adjusted correctly after you will specify the check box next to
the name of the system, from the appropriate side the additional tag will appear with the objects tree
with which one can work as well as with local system. (This tab is on the stage of completion)

The Toolbar:

l - For addition, or change after pressing this button a new event will be added in the list, if
you preliminary have not allocated one of already existing, otherwise the properties of the
allocated event will change.
l - For deleting of the marked event.
l - For testing action.

The main toolbar:

l - Allows to hide the right panel.

l - Allows to show both panels.
l - Allows to hide the left panel.
l The input window of Command String intercepts and displays all pressings of alphanumeric
keys in the period when TwinExplorer is an active window.

The panel of navigation allows to move under the list of the filtered objects
(by default the list of the filtered objects coincides with the full list). Serial numbers are specified in
the column Num.

l Allows to allocate all displayed list.

l Allows to invert allocation.
l Allows to make visible the list of objects, to move along it with the help of scrolling strip,
but in case of a plenty of objects it may take a lot of time and operative memory. So, the way
accepted by default is more universal.
l Shows or hides the panel of filters.
l Establishes filters by default.
l Closes the window TwinExplorer.
l Allows to load from the file a history of operations with the files, displayed on the tab
ClickList .
l Allows to save in the file a history of operations. By default this history is saved in the
catalogue of the program according to adjustments of the window Customize.

Log
It is intended for fixing events of files moving, changing of file system objects, successful or
unsuccessful fulfillment of synchronization or other actions of the program.

For example, each directory of Group of Synchronization has the property Report which allows to
specify, what events will be entered into Log .

The list of Events: The Column Type shows the type of the event and the appropriate icon:

l - error.
l - notification of the file system.
l - Synchronization of the Group.
l - Coping of file or directory.
l - moving of file or directory.
l - deleting of file or directory.

The Column Date shows the date.

The Column Time shows the time.

The Column Description shows the event description, for example, if it is the file coping, at first
the source will be specified, then the file destination. Also from the left side of the column there are
icons with the event results:

l - successful termination.
l - at presence of mistakes.
l - execution has been terminated by the user's command.

The Column User shows the user who effected, for example, the files moving or the
synchronization starting.

The Column Num shows the serial number of the record in the filtered list, when all parameters of
filtration are set by default - the filtered list is identical to the full one.

The Panel Filter allows to adjust the Log of Records filtration:

l Type allows to adjust the filtration according to the record type.

l Date allows to adjust filtration by date. There are all existing in the current list various or
unique values in the dropping out list.
l Time allows to adjust filtration by time. There are all existing in the current list various or
unique values in the dropping out list.
l User allows to adjust filtration by users. There are all existing in the current list various or
unique values in the dropping out list.
l Result allows to adjust filtration by result - Success or Failure or Any results.
l Description Mask allows to adjust the search Mask of the event description - by default - * -
all.

For the records filtration it is enough to change any of fields on this panel and in one second the
records will be filtered, to return installations by default, just press the button .

Customize
This window is intended for the program adjustment.

The tab Main allows adjusting type, position, spaces and speed of concealment of the main window
and auxiliary windows.
Check Box Border and Custom Position allows creation of standard heading at the main window,
by which one can drag it to any place of the Desktop, while the current screen coordinates of the left
top corner of the main window will be displayed on panel Position of Main Form.
These coordinates can be remembered by pressing of button Save - after that, at the program start,
the main window will appear in this place and will not hide behind the edge of the screen. The panel

Indent establishes a space from the screen edge at appearance of the main window and auxiliary

windows of GroupControl .
The panels Hide Main and Hide Labels allow to adjust time of delay and speed of the main and
auxiliary windows concealment .
The Test button allows to check up the made adjustments on the spot.

The tab Twin Explorer allows to establish the parameters of the history manipulations preservation
with files and directories in the window Twin Explorer.

The tab Log allows to establish preservation parameters of Log program events.

Thetab Mail allows to adjust post connection parameters through which one can send messages and
notices.

The tab Colors allows to adjust colors for files allocation on extensions in the lists of all windows
of the program. To appoint color to extension - it is enough to specify extension in the field
Extension, then click with the mouse on the field Color - the choice of color dialogue will appear,
and after the color choice and the dialogue closing the field will get this color. By pressing the
button OK, this color will be listed. Now in all lists of program files, the lines containing names of
files with such extension, will be allocated with this color.

The tab Misc allows to adjust other properties of the program:

Synchronization
This window appears by pressing the button in the GroupSync window and visualizes the
process of synchronization, allows to operate it and to adjust the course of process in addition.

The Top panel of information:

l Name of the group

l Expired time
l Current time
l Visible objects / Total number

The top list of the window displays the general data of the process:

l Folder shows the names of directories - participants of the group.

l Disk shows the letter of the disk where the directory is.
l Free shows the amount of free space on the disk.
l Total shows the number of objects that should be moved to this directory.
l Success shows the number of objects that have been successfully processed.
l Failed shows the number of objects at the processing of which one faced the errors.
l Abort shows the number of objects the processing of which has been terminated.
l Required shows the minimal required amount of free space on the disk to allocate those
objects which should be allocated into this directory.
l Forecast shows the forecast of the files moving taking into account the free space availability

on the disk.
For the account of that fact, that files may be fragmented and the disk space is always
allocated with pieces of the fixed size - the warning of the space shortage on the disk is given
out a little bit earlier, than the figure of required space will reach the size of accessible space.
That is it not the rigid statement and the assumption that you should once again consider and
make the decision at seeing the warning inscription and the icon .

The low list of the window displays the objects found in the directories and prepared to be copied or
moved or removed. It is possible to display files with various colors depending on extension, for
this purpose one can appoint any desirable color to any extension in the window Customize on the
tab Colors.

l Item Name shows the file name and the local way in the directory - participant of the group.
l From shows the way to the directory - participant of the group - from which the file is copied
(Source). The icon shows the cause of including a file in the list:
¡ - Source directory has a property "Master"
¡ - the object is unique - i.e. where is only one specimen of this object in this group of
synchronization.
¡ - the file was changed later others.
¡ - the file was changed early others.
¡ - the file is smaller others.
¡ - the file is bigger others.
l To shows the way to the directory - participant of the group- to where the file is copied
(Receiver).
l Size shows the size of the file.
l Date shows the date of the last changing of the file or the date of the directory creation.
l Time shows the time of the last changing of the file or the date of the directory creation.
l Num shows the serial number in the filtration list - by default the filtration list is identical to
the general list of objects.

By default the list of objects is displayed hierarchically - as a tree, the nodes of which can be
reduced and unrolled, but at change of the filter, set by default , the objects will be displayed with
the truncated ways and without taking into account hierarchy.

If to mark an element of the list of objects then it is possible to change the action appointed to it
with the help of the toolbar or the contextual menu. If to make it, the icons will change at all its
affiliated objects. Accordingly - In the top list the counter of the objects subject to be moved or
copied into the directory - Receiver, will decrease and the amount of required disk space will
decrease.

Directories - receivers may be real, and may be virtual - for example, Delete or Recycle

The panel Filter allows to set the filtration parameters of the list:

l * - allows to set filtration by Mask.

l From allows to set filtration by Source.
l To allows to set filtration by Receiver.
l Type allows to set filtration by Type - file or directory.
l Extension allows to set filtration by extension.

l Time allows to set filtration by time of modification.
l Action allows to set filtration by assigned action.
l Action Result allows to set filtration by result of action.
l Each his Own sets filtration by default in the fields Date and Time by date and time of
directories creation and date and time of the last made records for the file.

After you change value in any field on this panel, the button will become accessible, by pressing
which you may start the filtration process or to stop it, by pressing it once again when the button is
sunk.

Checkbox Stop on Error, if marked, the process of copying will stop in case of any mistake. The
erroneous file will be marked with an icon .

Checkbox Close if no Error, if marked, the window will be automatically closed on end of
copying, if there were not any errors.

The Execution Panel:

It appears during the operating time of the synchronization stream and displays messages about the
current actions - relocatable files and directories, as well as displays error messages. If to allocate
any object in the list - the error message recording will appear in the messages field of the panel
which has arisen during performance of this object .
The button allows to interrupt performance of the current operation and to proceed to following
one, the object in the list will be marked with an icon and may be started to be executed later.

The toolbar Actions-the buttons establishes property action at all allocated objects:

l - Show - only to review the properties.

l - Move to Recycle - Move to Recycle bin of Windows.
l - Delete - to delete without possibility to restore.
l - Copy - to copy.
l - Move - to move.
l - Rename - to rename.
l - Empty to recycle - move the content to Recycle bin (only for directories).
l - Empty Folder - to delete the content without possibility to restore (only for directories).
l - Move Content - to move the whole content of the directory.
l - Collapse \Expand All - to expand or collapse all units of the tree-list. It acts irrespective
of allocation.
l - Assign to All Filtered - if this button is sunk, the previous buttons will change properties
of all filtered objects irrespective of allocation, even if they are not seen in the list.

You may appoint actions to any objects at will - both parental, and affiliated. But you should
remember, that at first the whole list will be examined for availability of copying actions in real
directories (that is initial objects not changing position on disks), and only then on availlability of
deleting actions or moving to real and virtual directories.
For example it is possible to appoint deleting of the parental directory and copying to its affiliated
objects - at first everything will be copied, and only then be deleted.

The main toolbar:

l - Sort or Filter List becomes accessible, if you have changed conditions of filtration on
filtration panel or conditions of sorting, clicking on heading of the list column. Starts process
of filtration and sorting. Sticks during the process. One can stop the process by pressing on
the button.
l - Select All visible Items allows to select all visible items of the list.
l - Invert allows to invert the selection.
l - Show All Filtered allows to display all filtered objects in the list. By default this button
is not pressed as visualization of a plenty of objects may take a lot of time and operative
memory. If you have pressed it and if in your opinion process of visualization is too long (you
may watch its course on the extreme right indicator on the top information panel) - it is
possible to unpress the button and the process of visualization will stop. All visualized objects
will stay in the list.
l - Set Default Filters allows to return the mode of the list of objects display by default.
l - Paint Rows allow to apply the color allocation of rows depending on the file extension
(colors are customized in the Customize window).
l - Show Windows Icons allows to show the icons of Windows for the registered types of
files. Own icons of the program are used by default that promotes acceleration of the program
work and simplification of visual perception. Extraction of all hundreds the icons registered in
system demands too much resources and sometimes it takes a plenty of time.
l - Show\Hide Filter Panel is to show/ hide the filter panel.
l - Show\Hide Property Panel is to show/hide the property panel.
l - Quick Filter Successful - quick filtration of some successful actions.
l - Quick Filter Failure - Quick Filter of failure actions.
l - Quick Filter Aborted - Quick Filter of aborted actions.
l - Abort Threads - quick abortion of any visualization process.
l - Exit is closing of the window and termination of all actions.
l - Start Synchronization or Resume on Error is start, hesitation, or continuation after
hesitation on error place. If the red point blinks on the button, the stream of execution is
suspended and may be continued after pressing the button. If there is no red point - or there is
a performance (its course is displayed in lists and progress bars) or the system expects your
actions, for example attempt to restart after an error or to cancel the action, if, for example,
during the execution there were errors or cancellation of actions. Variants of restarting are
listed in the dropping out list at the left, that means you may execute repeated attempt of
processing of erroneous or interrupted or all actions in general.

The panel of properties:

It displays properties of object: Time of creation, time of change, time of access, as well as
attributes and the size. All attributes and properties except for the size can be edited. Fields with the
changed values become yellow and button Apply becomes more active. By pressing on this button
you will make an attempt to change the properties. If the attempt was successful, you have enough
permission to perform such operation and the object is not occupied with other appendix - coloring
of fields will return to its initial condition. If the attempt was unsuccessful, the field will be painted

in red color.
