Detailed Response to the question
Looking at the cultural intelligence (CQ) model as reference form (Cultural Intelligence for
Leaders, 2012) consist of four significant steps that is the (Acquire, Build, Contemplate, and
Do.) ABCD
Acquire: The understanding and perceptions we have about some cultures which is just
few or a tip of the ice bag. We as leaders with less exposure into others culture, we should not be
too confident about the awareness of some specific culture and he should always be open to
learning. Having cultural knowledge through different people with ethnic background can help
leaders identify why things are the way it is.
Build: As a leader you should able to acquirer more cultural knowledge and a way to
apply it in daily life. As a leader you should able to create awareness by planning and thinking
strategically. This step would help an individual leader to properly understand other people’s
attitude and behaviors unfortunate situation.
Contemplate: This step in cultural intelligence model requires leaders to involve a shift
from active, goal-oriented thinking to a more receptive and exploratory mode. A leader must
observe his interests and pay close attention in all cultural settings. It's about allowing thoughts
and feelings to surface without judgment, and observing them with curiosity.
Do: As this is the finally step of the Cultural intelligence model that teaches us to adapt and
perform well among human beings. An individual must be conscious of the way how people
understand them in terms of their attitude and behavior among others that is culturally correct
and accepted.
Social intelligence: The ability of fascinating crucial skills of a person that tune into other
people’s emotions and navigating the complexities of human interaction and its behavioral cues
to choose the most effective response in a given situation. The Social intelligence develops
through our good and bad experiences as we interact with different people with different culture
and values. This creates the awareness towards others moods, feelings, temperaments, and
motivations are a few of the traits of a socially intelligent person.
Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Is simply a critical skill that impacts how we manage and conduct
ourselves, navigate relationships, and make brilliant decisions. It is about understanding and
working with emotions, both our own and those of others. Here are some breakdown of what EQ
is and why it is so important:
A Perceive emotion: Identify and understand your own emotions and those of others.
This includes recognizing facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice.
Use emotions: Apply emotions to facilitate thinking and problem-solving. This means
using your emotional understanding to make better decisions and be more creative.
Understand emotions: Comprehend the complexities of emotions, including recognizing
different emotional states and understanding how emotions change over time.
Manage emotions: Regulate your own emotions and influence the emotions of others.
This involves managing your emotional responses and helping others to do the same.

today’s global market?
Cultural intelligence (CQ) is exceptionally valuable as a leadership competency in today's global
market for several interconnected reasons.

businesses operating across borders and workforces becoming more diverse. Leaders must
effectively manage teams and relationships that span cultures, making CQ essential for
navigating this complex landscape.
Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Global projects and partnerships require effective collaboration
across cultures. Leaders with strong Cultural Intelligent can also to bridge cultural gaps within a
society, build trust, and facilitate communication, leading to successful collaborations.
