11. Mdm June has a basket of apples. If she gives each child 4 apples, 4 apples will remain.
If she gives each child 5 apples, she will be short of 1 apple. How many apples does
Mdm June have?

12. It took Sam 2 minutes to vertically saw a log into 2 pieces. How many minutes did it
take him to vertically saw the same log into 4 pieces?

13. Study the number array below

In Mathematics, a prime number has only 2 factors – 1 and itself. The prime numbers
in the array, up to 19, have been circled. What is the second prime number that is
bigger than 60?

14. A number multiplied by itself is called a Square Number. As shown below,


1, 4, 9, 16, … are square numbers. Find the sum of the first eight square numbers.

15. John left home for the park at 0730 h, at a speed of 60 m/min. His brother returned
from the park at the same time at 70 m/min. It is known that the distance between

18. There are 8 steps on a flight of stairs at Don’s apartment. There are 2 flights of stairs
from one level to another. It takes Don 90 seconds to climb one flight of stairs. How
many minutes does Don take to reach his home on the 6th floor?
