Cách dùng danh từ số ít và số nhiều trong tiếng Anh
1. Cách dùng danh từ số ít và số nhiều được phân biệt bởi loại động từ bạn sử dụng
với chúng. Danh từ số ít sử dụng động từ số ít còn danh từ số nhiều sử dụng động
từ số nhiều.

Ví dụ:

 Cats (danh từ số nhiều) are (động từ số nhiều) the cutest pets in the world.
(mèo là vật nuôi dễ thương nhất trên thế giới.)
 Emily (danh từ số ít) jogs (động từ số ít) to work every morning. (Emily
chạy bộ đi làm vào mỗi buổi sáng.)
Ngoài ra, sự khác biệt ngữ pháp giữa danh từ số ít và số nhiều còn nằm ở cách sử
dụng mạo từ và tính từ:

2. Danh từ số ít có thể sử dụng mạo từ a và an, nhưng danh từ số nhiều thì không.

Ví dụ: We have a refrigerator. (Chúng tôi có một cái tủ lạnh.)

3. Danh từ số nhiều có thể sử dụng các tính từ chẳng hạn như many hoặc few mà
không có ý nghĩa ngữ pháp khi sử dụng với danh từ số ít.

1 Cấu trúc There is

Cấu trúc There is có nghĩa là “có” hoặc “có gì đó”. Là cấu trúc dùng để miêu tả sự
vật, sự việc hoặc một hiện tượng nhất định ở hiện tại. Bên cạnh đó, cấu trúc “there
is” dùng để diễn liệt kê đối với các danh từ số ít hoặc danh từ không đếm được.

Ví dụ:

 There is a book lying on my desk. (Có một quyển sách đang đặt ở trên bàn
học của tôi.)
 There is not much milk in the refrigerator. So I ate bread with eggs. (Không
có nhiều sữa ở trong tủ lạnh. Vì thế tôi đã ăn bánh mì với trứng.)

2 Cấu trúc There are

Cấu trúc There are thường dùng để miêu tả sự vật, sự việc hoặc hiện tượng nhất
định. Ngoài ra còn dùng để liệt kê đối với các danh từ số nhiều hoặc danh từ đếm
được.

 There are 25 books on the shelf, I have counted them very carefully. (Có 25
quyển sách ở trên giá, tôi đã đếm rất kỹ rồi.)

 Since + mốc thời gian: Từ khi (Since 2001,…)

được thay thế bằng “They” trong câu hỏi đuôi.

Lưu ý: Nothing, Nobody, No one được dùng trong mệnh đề chính, động từ ở câu
hỏi đuôi sẽ phải ở dạng thức khẳng định. (Vì Nothing, Nobody, No one có nghĩa

Câu ước (wish) ở hiện tại dùng để diễn tả những mong ước về một sự việc không
có thật ở hiện tại, hay giả định một điều ngược lại so với thực tế. Chúng ta dùng
câu ước ở hiện tại để ước về điều không có thật ở hiện tại, thường là thể hiện sự

1. Who: -Là đại từ quan hệ chỉ người làm chủ ngữ, đứng sau tiền ngữ chỉ người
