When GT Master Start Command is issued

From the start command and before turbine ROLL start, the following steps shall be carried out

 Pre-start OFFLINE False Start Drain Valve Test:

All False Start Darin Valves Operated by solenoids 20TFD-1 & 20TFD-2 shall close and open with
in specified time delay
 Master Control startup permissive check
 20FG-1 (fuel gas trip solenoid valve) energize to close and trip oil circuit to fuel gas stop valves
pressurize and route hydraulic oil to valve actuators
 Master protective block (L4) shall be energized
 Compressor Bleed Valve Test. All CBVs Shall be closed and opened back before turbine ROLL
 ELOP check. ELOP starts and stops, once PS 63QE says pressure ok
 Fuel gas Safety shutoff valve (SSOV) shall be opened (VS4_4)
 Excitation ON Command and 41DC Breaker Close
 Static Starter Connect sequence.
Sequence: master control initiate command, Static Starter Master Start Permissive Check, 52SS
CLOSE (static starter Breaker 4.16KV), 89MD CLOSE (main Disconnect), 89ND OPEN (neutral
ground Dis. Conn Switch), 89SS CLOSE (Static Starter Disconnect Switch) LCI Connected. Startup
Settings Selection and LCI in operation
 Drives 88BD, 88BT and 88BL shall be Started
 9th & 13th stage turndown extraction valves open & again close back for check (???)

All the above steps happen in first 36 sec of the startup sequence.

Turbine ROLL started by LCI

 IGV will be commanded to open from 23 to 29 Deg

 At 0.7% speed (26 rpm) Cooldown slow roll start speed relay (L14HT) will pickup
Atomizing Air Compressor (88AK-1) will start
Gas Fuel vent valve (20VG-1) close and Fuel gas Stop Valve (VS4-1) will be commanded to OPEN
 At 1.1% speed (39 rpm) LF Skid Cooling Fan 88FV Starts
 At 4% Speed (146 rpm) 9th and 13th stage turn down extraction valves (LHS & RHS) CLOSE
 At 8.5% speed (307 rpm) Aux. Cranking Speed Relay (L14HS) pickup
 At 9.6% speed (347 rpm) Gas Fuel Aux Stop Valve will CLOSE and SRV Open & CLOSE
 At 13.4% speed (485 rpm) Minimum Speed Relay (L14HM) pickup and simple cycle purge timer
(L2TV) starts. At this moment the P2 pressure is 29.47bar since SRV Open & closes for SRV Leak
test. SRV leak test duration is about 30 sec. later the P2 pressure shall be bought back to zero.
(SRV leak test starts at 485 rpm and ends before crank speed is reached)
 At 15.6% speed (560 rpm) Gas inter Vent Valve 20VG-4 shall be CLOSED
 At 23.6% speed (850 rpm) machine reaches crank speed and hold at that speed for 3 min and
the purge timer complete at this speed
 Machine will coast down to firing speed
 During coasting down at 13.6% speed (489 rpm) LCI will be commanded back ON. L14HM
(minimum speed relay) will drop out.
 At 13.8% speed (500.3 rpm) GCV1 and GCV2 output control will be enabled, Gas Fuel vent valve
20VG-1 will be closed, gas Fuel ASV OPEN, Ignition Permissive check and Ignition Exciter ON
 At 13.9% speed (501 rpm) SRV output Command will be enabled
 At 14.1% Speed (508.5 rpm) Flame establish in DLN Mode 3 (PM1 & PM2). Flame will be
detected in all 4 channels. Flame must be detected before the firing timer complete. Firing timer
L2F is 10 sec.
 At this speed #2 Bearing Area Cooling Fan will start (88BN)
 At 14.4% speed (518 rpm) firing timer L2F complete
