Merit list for iPG-PhD & PhD and Instructions for Online
counselling to various programmes
1. Merit list for the candidates who are seeking admission to iPGPhD (Session
1 & 2) and PhD programmes are notified based on their marks secured in
the written test (13th July 2023) and the performance in interview held
from 26th to 31st July 2023
5. Al the candidates who are qualified in the NIPER JEE 2023 for
admission to various programmes (Masters, iPG-PhD and PhD) are
requested for registration and web options as per the instructions and
schedule given below.

1. The above dates are tentative, and we advise you to visit the NIPER JEE
website periodically for updates.
2. The flow diagram for the process of counselling and schedule dates for
all the programmes are represented below:

➔ ONLINE WEB COUNSELLING
o Candidates found eligible for counselling will be given the option for
registration with OTP authentication through email and/or SMS on
the registered mail ID/Mobile No from the scheduled dates
mentioned in point number 6.
o Candidate should visit the website https://niperguwahati.ac.in/ and
can log in by using the credentials.
o Separate registration is required for candidates who applied for
Masters and iPGPhD programme.
o There will not be any registration fee for attending the web counselling.
o Candidate may choose their preferred Course and the NIPER from the
drop-down menu one by one. Candidates must ensure that all the
eligibility conditions, as specified in the NIPER JEE 2023 Information
Brochure available on the NIPERG website

o Opting for Web options will be permitted only one time. For
subsequent rounds of counselling, allotment will be done on the basis
of web options opted.
o Only those course(s) will be displayed for which the candidate is
eligible and course (s) offered by the respective NIPERs. For PhD, the
specialisation opted at the time of online application will be displayed.
o Candidate should opt for the maximum number of choices by giving
utmost importance to the preference/order/serial number of his/her
choices, as these will be important criteria for seat allotment.
o Candidates MUST “submit” their choices on/before the last day of
choice filling. Candidates are NOT allowed to edit their choice list
after the deadline i.e., 9th August 2023.

o Candidate will be allowed to download his/her provisional allotment
letter mentioning the Course/Institute allotted to him/her only after
depositing the requisite fee through the payment gateway. Candidates
will also be informed through SMS and email.
o All the candidates who have been allotted a seat for the first time in
any round of allotment will be mandatorily required to pay the
requisite fee within the prescribed date and time, failing which their
allotment will be cancelled. The fee structure can be found in the
respective information brochure.
o If the candidate opted for “Sliding” while reporting but does not want
to continue with it, then he/she will be able to do so through his/her
individual login at his/her convenience at home.
o If the candidate does not get a better choice, then his/her initially
allotted seat will be retained by him/her.
o If the candidate gets a better choice and chooses to avail of that seat,
then his/her initially allotted seat will stand CANCELLED, and the
candidate will have to accept the “Sliding” seat. In NO case, such
“Sliding” candidates will be allowed to retain the initially allotted seat.
Therefore, the candidate must be cautious in exercising the request
for “Sliding”.
o The “Sliding” candidates need not pay the fee again.
o The option of “Sliding” will be permissible only during the first and
second rounds.
o Subsequent rounds of allotments will be conducted for candidates
who have not been allotted any seat in the earlier rounds.
o Upon reporting at the allotted NIPER, the candidate must produce all
the relevant original documents to the officials for verification. NIPER
may refuse admission if the listed documents are not found in order
before the commencement of first-term examinations or the
candidate is found ineligible for admission. NIPER-G will not be a part
of any such decision taken by respective NIPERs.

Note:
1. For iPG-PhD and Masters programme, PWD seats will be allotted based on
the merit of the candidate in the respective category.
2. In case if candidate applied under both PWD and respective reservation
category, any one reservation must opt by the candidate at the time of
registration. The candidates whose PWD certificate is not considered, in
such case the respective reservation category must considered at the time
of counselling.
3. Based on the merit, candidate may opt different courses as per their choice
at the respective NIPERs (However the same course (s) should be offered by
the respective NIPERs in the current A.Y i.e., 2023-2024).
4. Only one seat in particular department in one NIPER under PWD is allowed.
