ROLE OF WOMEN IN DEVELOPMENT :-

"Women as agents of change in development" refers to the idea that

when empowered, women can actively drive positive social and
economic change within their communities and societies, contributing
significantly to development efforts across various sectors like health,
education, environment, and economy, by leveraging their unique
perspectives and experiences to advocate for better policies and
practices, particularly when facing challenges like gender inequality.

Key points about women as agents of change:

Unique perspective: Women often have a deep understanding of
community needs due to their roles within families and communities,
allowing them to identify critical issues and develop effective solutions.
Economic impact: When women have access to education, employment,
and financial resources, they can significantly contribute to household
income and economic growth.

movements, mobilizing communities to address issues like health,
sanitation, and environmental sustainability.

those furthest behind first.SDG 5 aims to grant women and girls equal
rights and opportunities to live free of violence and discrimination,
including in the workplace.
