Bunny Apron and dress tutorial
The seam allowance (1/4") is included in all the pattern pieces. All the
measurements are in inches.
You will need:
Cotton or cotton/linen fabric for the dress. I used cotton gauze.
A small piece of felt for the apron and some lace
A 13 inches long bias tape (single fold)
A small safety pin and an 11" long small thin cotton cord or ribbon
First, you will need to cut two 3 and 1/2" long and Lay the 2 rectangle of fabric on top
6 and 1/2" wide rectangle of fabric for the dress. of each other, right sides together.
Then fold both top edges twice toward in, 1/4"
the first time and 1/3" the second time.
Stitch both sides starting 3/4" below Attach your ribbon or cord to a small
the top edge as shown. safety pin.
Insert it inside one of the hem. Make the cord go all
around until both its ends come out on one side.
Stitch the dress bottom edge by folding the edge 1/3"
toward in.
Gather the neckline and tie the ends with a Cut a 1" high and 1 and 1/2" wide piece of
bow.Your little bunny is starting to look felt. Using a marker, create round edges on
really cute! the 2 bottom corners.
Optional: you can stitch some lace Using pins, mark the center on your bias
all around the felt curved edge. tape and on the apron. Make both
marks coincide when you insert the
apron inside the bias tape, in between
the 2 layers.
Stitch the bias tape all along with the apron
piece inserted in, very close to the edge.
Tie the apron on your doll and voila!
