Passage:1
Read the text and answer the question no. 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Nearly 75% of the earth is covered by water. There is water above ground called surface. water such as
lakes, swamps, rivers, and water that's under the ground called groundwater. Water even exists in the
sky! That is called vapour. So, water is everywhere.
We have a lot of water but unfortunately, we can't drink most of it. Ninety-seven and a half percent of
the earth's water is salt water, which we can't drink. The rest is fresh water, which we can drink. 70% of
our drinking water is frozen- like the Hubbard Glacier. Also, we can reach 30% of our groundwater. And
most of that is polluted. In fact, we can only drink about 1% of the world's fresh water.
We need to take care of our water because there isn't a lot of it. Using water wisely is important to have
clean water now and for the future. Everyone around the world needs to know and work together to
solve water problems.

Read the text and answer the questions 5, 6.
It is said that a man had seven lazy children, and he wanted to ensure their income after he died. When
his moment of death grew closer, he gathered his children and said to them: I have left you in the land
that I own an expensive treasure. I hid it there. Go and get it out after my death, so you can make a
living out of it.
When the father died, his children began to dig up the land inch by inch, but they couldn't find the
treasure, and their efforts were in vain. Then they looked and saw the land was plowed, so they agreed
to grow wheat there, and they did.
The land yielded a great deal of wheat. They ate some and sold the rest and lived a comfortable life.
Then they understood that the land was the treasure their father had told them about.

Read the text and answer the questions 8, 9 .
Once in a village, there was a young boy who used to look after the sheep. To make fun, he thought it
would be funny to fool the villagers. So he started shouting and said, "Tiger! Tiger! The Tiger is coming!"
even when there was no Tiger in sight. The villagers hurried to help, but saw nothing. They understood
that the boy lied and fooled them.
One day, a real Tiger came to the sheep. The boy became scared and screamed, "Tiger! Tiger! The Tiger
is here!" But this time, the villagers, remembering his previous lie, thought it was another trick and
ignored him. The Tiger attacked the sheep, ate all the sheep.
The boy learned a valuable lesson about honesty. The moral of the story: "Never tell lies, or people
won't believe you even when you're telling the truth."
