B. Motivation
Get a one whole sheet of paper and find the prime factorization of 2 number of
the given number. You need to finish the activity within 5 minutes.
Let’s Begin!
1. 48
2. 60
3. 3. 30
4. 20
5. 128
C. Activity
Bingo game
1. Each group will have a blank bingo board/card, pencil, dry erase board, and a
dry erase marker.
2. The teacher will use a flashcard and when the teacher draws the card either
2,3, or 4 cards then the students will find the least common multiples of the
draw number of the card.
3. The students will use their dry erase board to calculate or to find the common
multiples and LCM of the numbers.
4. And when you get the LCM of the cards number then the group will square the
result to mark.
5. Each group will be given 1 minute to answer each draw of the card.
D. Analysis
From the activity we played earlier answer these following questions:
1. How did you get the LCM?
2. Why is it important to find the LCM of numbers?
3. In your opinion, what problems can be solved using LCM?
E. Abstraction The LCM or the Least Common
F. Application
Let us now try to check if you can calculate or find the common multiple and LCM of 2−4
numbers using the continuous division of the given numbers.
Direction: Find the common multiple and LCM of the given number using the continuous
division. Show your solution.
1. What is the least common multiple of 6 and 7?
2. Find the least length of a rope which can be cut into whole number of pieces of lengths
45 cm, 75 cm and 81 cm.
IV. Evaluation
A. Direction: Read the problems carefully and find the LCM of the given numbers using the continuous
division. Show your solution.
1. Find the smallest number which on adding 19 to it is exactly divisible by 28, 36 and 45.
2. Mang Thomas went on his farm to harvest the fruits. He harvested 10 apples, 20 Oranges,
and 40 Mangos. Find the least common multiples of each number of fruits that Mang
Thomas harvested on his farm.
3. Carlo has a gummy business. Every gummy has designated jars and spaces. In the right side
there are a total of 16 gummy bears and in the left side there is a total of 32 gummy leaves
and gummy worms. Find the least common multiple of the gummies that Carlo sale.
4. A scenario where you and your friend are going to a restaurant. You have lunch there every
fourth day, and he has his lunch there every sixth day. How many days before you meet
again for lunch at the same restaurant?
5. Ben exercises every 12 days and Isabel every 8 days. Ben and Isabel both exercised today.
How many days will it be until they exercise together again?
6. The local bus service has 2 lines of buses that start together at 8 a.m. Buses on line A leave
after every 15 minutes while Buses on line B leave after every 20 minutes. In a day, how
many times do buses on both line A and B leave together between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m.
7. What is the least common multiple (L.C.M) of 32 and 60 by using division method?
8. Find the LCM of 3, 4 and 6 by listing the multiples.
9. In a morning walk Nanay Sesing, Tatay dong and Helen step off together in the people’s
park in Davao City. Their steps measure 75cm, 80cm and 90 cm. what is the
minimum distance each should walk so that all can cover the same distance in complete?
10. Find the LCM of 56 78 112 230
V. Assignment/Agreement
Direction: Give the LCM of the given number using the continuous division. Show your solution.
