Waist: 76-84 cm [29-7/8" - 33"]
Materials: DROPS ALASKA,
500-550 g color no. 02, natural
and use: DROPS VIENNA,
300-300 g color no. 21, natural
or use: DROPS Melody,
200-200 g color no. 01, off white
DROPS 15 mm [US 19] needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge.
Gauge: 7 sts x 10 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].
Garter Stitch, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.
Front: Cast on 29-31 sts with: 2 strands Alaska and 1 strand Vienna (3 strands of yarn), knit 2
rows garter st. Change to stockinette st. When the work measures 4-4 cm [1.5"] inc 1 st at each
side 3-4 times:
Size S/M: every 4 cm [1.5"]
Size M/L: every 5 cm [2"]
= 35-39 sts. When the work measures 18-21 cm [7" - 8.25"] bind off at each side for armholes
every other row: 2 sts 1-2 times, 1 st 2-2 times = 27-27 sts. When the work measures 35-39
cm [13.75" - 15.25"] bind off the center 7-7 sts for the neck. Bind off 1 st at each neck edge
every other row 2 times. Bind off when the work measures 42-46 cm [16.5" - 18-1/8"].
Back: Cast on and knit as for the front. Bind off the center 11-11 sts for the neck when the work
measures 40-44 cm [15.75" - 17.25"]. Bind off shoulder sts when the work measures 42-46 cm
[16.5" - 18-1/8"].
Sleeve: Cast on 21-23 sts with 2 strands Alaska and 1 strand Vienna (3 strands of yarn), knit 2
rows garter st. Change to stockinette st. When the work measures 10 cm [4"] inc 1 st at each
side 6-6 times every 6 cm [2-3/8"] = 33-35 sts. When the work measures 50-50 cm [19.75"]
bind off at each side for sleeve cap every other row: 3 sts 1-1 time, 2 sts 1-2 times, then bind
off 3 sts at each side until the work measures 58-60 cm [22-7/8" - 23-5/8"]. Bind off.
Assembly: Sew right shoulder seam. Pick up approx. 32 sts around the neck with 2 strands
Alaska and 1 strand Vienna (3 strands of yarn), knit 10 cm [4"] stockinette st, then 4 rows
garter st. Bind off loosely. Sew the left shoulder seam and the neck edge in one. Sew the sleeve
seams. Sew the side seams. Sew in the sleeves.
