Brothers and Sister, the Blessed Virgin Mary was chosen to be the
Mother of God as part of the eternal plan of the incarnation of the
Word of God. On this earth she was the cherished Mother of the
Redeemer and in a unique way the companion of his saving work.
The form of prayer that we call rosary is a way of contemplating
and extolling the plan of divine providence. This is the reason why
pastors and so many great holy men and women of the church
praised the rosary and urged it use.
The Church bestows a special blessing on rosaries and on those,
who as they recite this beautiful prayer, reflect on the mysteries of
our redemption.
As we gather now for this Rosary Prayer Rally, let us thank God for
the gift of Mary and the Rosary.

The Rosary of the Virgin Mary is a prayer loved by countless
Saints. It is a prayer of great significance, destined to bring
forth a harvest of holiness. With the Rosary, the Christian
people sits at the school of Mary and is led to contemplate the
beauty on the face of Christ and the experience the depths of
his love. Through the Rosary the faithful receive abundant
grace, as though from the very hands of the Mother of the
Redeemer.
As we pray the Rosary now, we turn to God with insistence and
confident that the maternal intercession of Mary, Mother of
God, can obtain all things from the heart of her Son.
Let us now plead with Mary to intercede for us before the Father
who filled her with grace to pray with us and for us.

Reflection (Ms. Marivic): “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup
pass from me.” That is the voice of human weakness reaching to
infinity, the voice of human sinfulness that Jesus took upon himself
and identified with in the Garden.

and other law enforcers: May they be the first ones to uphold the law and to

Reflection: (Sir Kenneth) It was necessary for Christ to suffer: his
passion was absolutely unavoidable. It is love to the end that
confers Christ’s sacrifice its value as redemption and reparation, as
atonement and satisfaction. He knew and loved us all when he
offered his life.

are, and by his example he teaches us that we also have to carry
that cross for ‘he himself bore our sins in his body on the tree’.

Reflection: (Sir Arjay) To attain holiness, we must not only pattern
our lives on Christ’s by being gentle, humble and patient, we must
also imitate him in his death. Taking Christ for his model, Paul said
that he wanted to become like him in his death in the hope that he
too would be raised from the death to life.

Lector: For the Last Sorrowful Mystery, we pray Dear Lord, to You our
concern for people who are more likely than others to become severely ill
from COVID-19 — the elderly and people with chronic health conditions.
Protect them from harm and be their comfort in this time of uncertainty
and, for many, preventive isolation from loved ones.
