B. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

POINTS REQUESTED TO BE CONSIDERED AT THE TIME OF PREPARATION OF

RT8(C) REPORTS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND DISPATCH THE SAME TO
VSI.

1. TIME ACCOUNT
Representation of hours: It is requested that all the details about hours of crushing may
please be given in terms of hours expressed in decimal system only. i.e. minutes should be
in decimal point system (e.g. 100 hours and 30 minutes should be given as 100.50 hours,
100 hours and 20 minutes should be given as 100.33 hours.)
2. CANE CRUSHED AND OTHER FIGURES
It is requested that the total cane crushed should be given exclusive of binding material and
other relevant figures expressed in terms of % cane exclusive of binding material.
3. STORES USED
i) Lime Consumption: Figures for process and spray pond should please be given
separately.
ii) Lubricants: Many factories give figures for oils and greases together, while some
factories give figures for oils and greases separately.
iii) Consumption: Factories are requested to give consumption figures for chemical
cleaning agents such as Caustic Soda, Common Salt, Hydrochloric Acid, Acid
inhibitors etc. Also, other chemicals such as Antiscalent, Color Precipitants such as
Hydrogen Peroxide etc, Mill Sanitation chemicals, Viscosity Reducer, Phosphoric
Acid etc. as per attached Store Consumption Format.
It is requested that the figures for oils and greases should be given separately, as both have
different units. The unit for oil is ‘Litre’ and unit for grease is ‘Kg’.
4. ELECTRICITY AND STEAM DATA
Most of the sugar mills are not giving data on electricity and steam in additional
information.
It is requested that all sugar mills should give data on electricity and steam generation and
consumption so as to compile the data properly. Sugar mills having installed flow meters
should only quote the recorded data and no estimated data should be entered.
