9.1 Explain TWO differences between a laptop and a tablet. (2)
9.2 Various decisions about the choice of hardware has to be made.
9.2.1 A decision was made to use a wired mouse rather than a wireless mouse.
Give TWO reasons that may have led to this decision. (2)
9.2.2 The current inkjet printer is slow and is also expensive to run, so the office
manager decided to add a second printer. Name the type of printer that
would solve both problems described. (1)
9.2.3 It was decided that the inkjet printer should NOT be set as the default
printer. Explain what the term ‘default’ means in this context. (1)
9.2.4 The data on the file server must be backed up regularly. Give the main
advantage of using an external hard drive, instead of a flash drive, for this

9.3 The flatbed scanner will be very useful in the office.
9.3.1 Why would a flatbed scanner be more useful than a sheet-fed scanner? (1)
